I bought this to replace a canvas and mesh muzzle that I felt was putting too much pressure on my dog's face. It was the kind that slips over like a sleeve. My dog looked frantic and uncomfortable, so I hated it.I like this "cage" better than the one I had. It's made of soft silicone. You can ball it up in your hand, but when you let go, it pops back into shape. It truly is soft and doesn't squeeze their face if you get the right size.If it helps anyone with sizing, my dogs are pit bull/border collie mix. They are 42 pounds and measured 10-1/2 around their muzzle. I ordered the size 2 and it fits them perfectly. No squeezing and they don't have any problem drinking or moving their mouth. They are just as "licky" with it on lol The muzzle doesn't leave any kind of dent or lines on their face from wearing. This gives them a lot more air ventilation than the old one. My dogs seem more relaxed and that makes me more relaxed too. This is a good muzzle and was worth the money. I'd buy again and recommend.

The media could not be loaded.  I dont know how much really aggressive protection this provides, because it is soft and stretchy. I think that if two large dogs were engaged in a real fight, this muzzle would probably end up broken or at least out of position, rendering it inoperative. But, is that strictly a bad thing ? If a dog attacks mine to the point it is beyond my control, I want my dog to be able to defend itself. I believe this will stop any minor scuffles, and provide the adequate protection it is designed for. The sizing is ok, I might order another, one size bigger. Be aware though, that it's not good to have one so large it rides against their face, irritating their eyes. This one does not provide a lot of room for my dog to open its mouth, like a large basket style would. But it is sufficient for him to drink, pant, even gobble a small treat. My dog likes this one much better than the heavy wire one, and is much more amenable to putting it on. The soft grey color is very unassuming and doesn't make him appear grimacing like Hannibal Lecktor. The stitching in the harness part is reflective. One thing that concerned me with my old one, was my doggo inadvertantly swinging his and smacking into something. This one, being soft and pliable, won't break out a window or knock out your teeth if your bear gets excited. I would and probably will buy it again.

i have a pit bull who has been attacked on multiple occasions by dogs. he's never fought back, but if he did we all know who would be blamed and possibly put down. my dog doesn't go anywhere outside without this on. it keeps him safe from accusations of aggression. even if hes the sweetest dog, people have their biases.it seems comfortable, it never seems to bother him. but he did have prior experience using a gentle leader so he's used to something on his muzzle while walking. he can drink water okay with it, not great but its never on long enough for that to be an issue.highly recommend for any bully breed parents. keep your babies safe!

I like this muzzle, we got it so we could finally have our pittbull around kids- you can never be too safe. And our nieces and nephews are only here once in a blue moon and only for a couple hours and we usually lock our pittbull in our bedroom and he gets very sad and wants to be around everyone and the kids. But it works good so far, he tolerates it- although he doesn’t love it. The first couple times he tried to take it off and shook his head a lot. But now he understands and I suggest lots of proper training- with lots of treats. look up some YouTube videos if you don’t know how to do it. DO NOT JUST SHOVE THIS ON YOUR DOG THE FIRST DAY YOU GET IT! I’ve been training our dog for a month now a little each day and he is just now to the point of tolerating it and accepting it- he also still hasn’t wore it longer than 2 hours (because I don’t want to torture him or make him think it’s a bad thing etc)

This muzzle was bought because my dog had reactivity from being attacked by off leash dogs, so I bought this to help him gain confidence around good dogs, and to make sure the past experiences didn’t mess him up with his actions as well.I have to say this has been a lifesaver and has really helped me and my dog out, he is now better with dogs and confident .I have to say if you are interested in this I would buy it!It is super durable and has amazing quality.I did size 3 for my Aussie if that helps, but I would defiantly make sure to measure for the best fit.Hope this helps!

Really like this muzzle, I have used it for multiple training sessions with my 9 month old English Mastiff. She is very reactive and a bossy boots, she currently wears an e-collar and is doing much better but since I do large scale open field pack socialization for the dogs with both small and large dogs, better safe than sorry. It would just take one bite with her to cause damage if she wanted to and since I can't watch her at every moment, the muzzle gives me peace of mind. I just need a larger size soon! Love the soft material and since she isn't biting people a hard muzzle isn't needed. Let me know if there is a bigger one! I need a 7.

After measuring my dog I initially ordered the size 2. It was way too big for him. He has an unusually large neck and small mouth so it is hard to find something that will work for him. After contacting Petisland they sent a new size out right away. They were very pleasant to work with! The new one works perfect, we can adjust in two different places. We only use it when we are clipping his nails and are slowly getting him used to it. So far so good!

I am FURIOUS! Dog massacred pet ducks while wearing this in front of 2 year old girl. It was fit correctly and the dog was still able to completely bite through the muzzle and maul the ducks. I cannot even begin to explain the the horror and trauma this has caused in our family. I spent the whole night comforting 2 distraught children and burrying the ducks. This should be taken off the market!
