Worked as Expected
I purchased this to use with a windshield repair kit, which required UV light to harden the repair material. The kit was able to make use of sunlight exposure as a UV source, but I wanted to work in a warm garage and not have to wait for a sunny day. The light worked very well for this purpose. I used my USB volt/ammeter to check the current draw and found 5V/1.5A on high power (7.5W) and 5V/0.5A on low power (2.5W), which is close to the stated specifications. It's also quite interesting and fun to plug this into a small battery pack and walk around looking at things around the house under the "black light." :-)

good light.
nice u. light, runs off a phone port bank just fine. it has more of a spot that flood. so if needing a uv spot light, this might be just the ticket.

Great for fly tying UV resin cure
I got tired of replacing the battery in my UV loon light for curing UV resin. This is relatively bright and seems to cure the resins (Solarez) that I’m using quite well, and just as fast as my battery light when the battery is fresh. My only complaint is that the on-button is hard to push, and the light has a bright setting, a dim setting, and a blinking setting (what the?) Which means you have to push the difficult button four times every time you use it.

Strong spot
This is a bicycle headlight with an ultraviolet chip. The illumination pattern is that for street riding. The central spot is bright and large and useful.

Great for curing resins
Bought this for curing UV resin on flies, and so far it's worked great on every brand of resin I've tried (Loon, SolarEZ, Gulf.) Cures even big blobs rock solid in a few seconds. My only gripe is that if you leave it plugged in, the power light flashes brightly every second or so.

I use with Solarez UV resin
I use in my fly tying as the light remains consistent due to not using batteries. It runs runs off USB plug on front of my computer. I have several other UV lights but this is far and away the best of the bunch.

Extremely sturdy
This light is the best curing light I've come across yet!! Takes a little bit longer to cure, but the resin glue comes out perfect and is extremely sturdy!!!!

Measured 2.25 watts on high...
...and 0.7 watts on low. This is power input, not output. Other than running at well below rated power, it is a pretty neat package. I had been thinking of converting an old Magicshine bike light to uv, and adding a usb cable so that I could find a use for my usb power bank. Low and behold these guys have done just that! It even has the handlebar mount. The optics are too focussed for my needs, but I can modify that. If you need a stand for this light, you can use a microphone stand and a short piece of 3/4" pvc tubing. Clip the tubing into the mic stand, and use the handlebar mount to attach the light to the pvc. This trick also works for most flashlights, but without the pvc.
