Wild Food Plants of Indiana & Adjacent States

Not a bad book for a beginner. But I could tell the writers weren't exactly experts. They did their research but rather obviously were only experimenting with the foods. They also missed some things.

I'm using this book as guide for the natural native edible gardens I'm creating. I wish they would update it with color photos but i can understand why they don't. not many people want to know Indiana plants. No worries. I just google the name. i find pictures and places that sell the plants or seeds. Thank you for writing.

The book was a gift but what I quickly looked at before giving it away seemed very knowledgeable in Midwest plants of Indiana

The information about each plant is insufficient for a description and use of each herb, but having no pics other than hand drawn pics is a big negative. It would seem from the pics that this book were written in the early 1900's, but it's not the case. Not having color pics makes this book virtually useless. If there was an update with additional information and color pics were added, it would be a great book. Just not what I was looking for or needed.

Great book, Knowledge is key in any scenario and this book has it. Clear definitive pictures for accurate comparisons in the field. Scrounge up some free salads HOOSIERS ;P

The only thing I wish that would make it better is to have color pictures instead of just black and white.

Very interesting and helpful, let's you know what you can eat as a wild plant.
