Pretty simple to use if you are familiar with the techniques
The kit includes a lot of things needed to successfully graft. The bodes seem pretty sharp, and didn’t crush any of the cuttings I took. After attempting a number of grafts, I found rubber bands were making it easier to secure things. The tape included isn’t very good. I would recommend just using the tool and finding rubber bands and waxed grafting tape somewhere else. The tool itself is great, and the little case makes it handy to carry everything out to the orchard or field. I am grafting Hachiya persimmons to native trees growing wild on our property, but have also been playing around with grafting different varieties of fruit in to various trees we grow on our farm. I have found the tool very handy, especially since I don’t have very good knife skills when it comes to grafting. This makes it less likely to mess up, and far less likely to end up with a cut finger. The kit is well worth buying if you want to explore grafting, or need a handy tool to make grafting faster on a commercial level.

A great value
The first one I ordered was lost in the Mail; however, I received a replacement two days after I reported it. Excellent service. The tool is easy to use even though it does not come with written instructions. YouTube has several videos demonstrating how to use the tool and how to switch blades. The grafting knife is sharper than one I bought a month ago. The grafting tape is fine but I ordered paraffin tape since many professional gardeners prefer it. There is a $200+ grafting tool at a different site for thicker branchesand T-budding; however, this is perfect for my needs and the price is right.

Not worth it. Cuts are too short
Not worth it. First time grafter and these do not work well. The cuts are just too short to hold it's own. Also would be nice to have parafim wax instead of the plastic wraps. I ended up learning and doing it the old school way. Only thing use and like is the knife.Won't be using the cutting plyers anymore. Better to do it the old school way.

Works great to make the cuts for grafting.
It works great, very easy to make matching cuts that allow for a strong graft that is easy to tape up.I always had a hard time making the angled cuts, so this is a very useful tool for an amateur.I made several grafts and am waiting to see if they survived.

Cheap Knife
Overall, the items in the kit seem decent quality, about what I'd expect for a Chinese made product. The shears/graft cutters seem to be the highest quality, which is obviously what I was most concerned about. I have not yet used it, literally opened the box and pulled the pieces out to check them. They smoothly close and the springs pull them back open easily, before having used them. I will update this review to comment on ease of use and cleanliness of the cut.The main thing I think I would have liked to know before purchasing is about the knife. It's obviously cheaply constructed, but razor sharp. I don't expect it to hold that edge for more than a couple cuts, but it is very sharp out of the box. The wood handle appears to be unfinished wood, which doesn't really affect the use. The most important part about the knife is that it is double-beveled. Most grafting knives are built with a single-sided bevel on either side depending on how it's supposed to be used. A double-bevel knife is a lot less useful. All of that said, the kit overall seems to be a very good value for what you're paying ($25). Like I said, I'll update the review if I have any particularly good or bad experiences when using the graft cutter. Otherwise I may update this far in the future if it holds up over time but doesn't leave me with any extreme impressions.
