IT's alive! Good Idea, still useless documentation, but outstanding and dedicated tech support!
The manual is as basic as possible it doesn't cover anything about USB tty's in the Cellular setup area. Unit works wit AT& T in the US but you have to literally search for the AP{N information. Just use "BroadBband". As proven by 6 hours of AT&T tech support and various troubleshooting they don't know how to set up anything but a cell PHONE.. Can't be used with 3g and 4g even though the write up matches the AT&T 3g and 4g specs. Unit appears well designed and well built. good craftsmanship and form / function of the physical unit. Software interface and manual cause it to be a bit difficult to get set up.Changed from two stars to 5 star for the dedication of the SerialLink support staff, and the aggressive response of tech support in trying to get this working. Support has been email questions and answers, today they logged in remotely and tested. It appeared to be a bad SIM card or bad APN. After replacing the SIM card I found the APN dat Only Devices on AT&T is "Broadband" Amazingly none of tech support knew this.Very impressed with support the working product and especially Serial Link support. Definitely a 5 star operation..

Perfect for RV Internet!
I bought this modem/router for my RV and it works exactly as I had hoped! I placed an AT&T SIM card in it and changed the APN inside the system settings, which I configured via WiFi. Easy setup and works great! Much better speeds and settings than the system that came pre-installed on my RV, and much cheaper!

All Seriallink products have firmware intended for conducting surveillance on its users
On a hunch, i decided to sandbox a copy of each devices firmware for study. Initial examination its seemingly harmless, unit you get around to observing where these devices are routing your traffic.BGP and MPRLS Protocols will naturally make the shortest amount of hops possible for a packet to reach its destination. Not with seriallink devices.... no no. Magically my packets decided its a good idea to make a pit stop in Beijing on their way to arriving right back to my house. ALL OF THEM.They tried to cover this up with a few packing tricks and deceptive control files. Ill admit, had me fooled. Not sure what exactly the motive is... I dont usually jump to conclusions but condidering the servers are owned by front companies with ties to the DPRK unit equivalent to Americas NSA , id say these products are up to no good.

Works great on AT&T Prepaid unlimited plan
Set up was very simple knowing the correct APN is 'broadband' (thanks to a previous reviewer who convinced me to buy). We will be using this router for accessing internet in our RV, potentially where cell data reception is limited.Setup steps: insert SIM, connect router to PC, power router on, login to router via web browser '192.168.2.1'. Make sure APN is changed from blank to 'broadband', Activate sim via att website, may take a few minutes, but for me was pretty instant.Hope this helps anyone looking for this type of solution, who also doesn't want to shell out $600 for a Pepwave router.
