Teething problems, but generally good
I've had the Doogee BL500 for about 4 years, and it never let me down until I dropped it just one too many times and the display never recovered. I need a phone all the time tho for work, so had to get a quick, cheap replacement and plumped for this. There were some issues at first with it refusing to accept the APN settings for my network, so I couldn't use any data, but I've had this before with other phones while roaming abroad, and learned from experience that if you change the APN Type from whatever your network tells you, to "default", it fixes it. And sure enough, that worked with this one, too.As far as phones at this price band go, it's pretty good and holds its head up. The main failing on it really is the microphone is just rubbish. As I'm on the road a lot, and have to keep in contact with clients, I've been in the habit of using voice clips as you can just put the phone in the holder on the dashboard, then hold the button down and talk while paying attention to the road. But when I do that on this phone, my voice clips come out sounding like I'm talking in a bathroom that has a tornado happening in it. I've made a mental note to look round and see what apps or settings I can play with to improve that - if I find anything I'll edit this to update. But apart from the sound RECORDING being awful, the sound PLAYING isn't bad at all for the price. And after figuring out the rather unique settings (it has the options for data on/off and 4G as two separate things -- turns out you need to leave 4G on all the time, and just turn the data (arrows) on and off as and when you like, to save battery/data.The battery life isn't great, but it's good enough. And although it's not going to win any prizes for fancy camera widgets and video quality, those are things that don't really interest me as I primarily want a phone that'll run the basic apps I use for work, smoothly and quickly. So I'm more concerned with processor speed and RAM, and that's where this phone outperforms most others, especially the big brands, at this budget, in my opinion.

Nice Phone - But Needs a Better Battery (And a Screen Protector)
This phone is quite good looking, shiny black and has a slightly curved bright steel edge. It comes with a thin clear plastic protective cover, but no screen protector which is a shame. I have not had it long enough (1 week) to say how good or reliable it is, but so far it has been able to run all the apps (mainly music and video based) that I've installed. The battery life seems a little low dropping to 60% in less than an hour running video or playing music. I get a really bad signal where I live, and the phone gets texts and just about gets/makes calls, but it can not use 4G. However, when I go to a good reception area it registers that the signal is 4G so I have hope for it.

Great value, great camera, very pleased. π
I bought this phone to replace a Nokia 3 but wanted a dual SIM. My wife has Nokia 5 which was damaged so we decided on a trial purchase. Before we both took the plunge. We are both struggling to see the difference between this phone and the more expensive Nokias, except of course for the Doogee's far superior camera. As it came out of the box my 16 year old and very overpowering image daughter said it looks like an iPhone. Extremely impressed, I suppose that if you are used to spending Β£100s on a phone it might not be for you but I am struggling to see what far more expensive phones could do that is better. My wife was convinced and replaced her Nokia 5 within two weeks. She uses Instagram a lot for her business and had found the photo quality to be ideal for Instagram.

Good Phone For Gran
My Gran wanted a smartphone that was easy to use. This phone is easy to use, easy enough for my 78 y/o gran to master.Battery life is great, when I used it, it never lags. Running quality is nice. Itβs a good overall phone and very good for the price

GOOD LITTLE PHONE
Not overloaded with pre-installed apps, which deplete memory and are difficult to remove; efficient speaker, better than my previous Samsung by far, and camera very good. I use the second slot for the memory card and it's disappointing there's not an additional slot for this. Additional bonus that it came with its own silicone case, the likes of which sometimes do not fit correctly.

Android phone just for the basics.
A mobile phone just for kids or people who will use it only for phone calls or sms,the battery runs out after few hours and there is space only for two SIM cards or one SIM card and memory card. Finally after one year is a waste of money because now I have to buy another mobile phone again.
