Great Campaign, some multiplayer glitches...
Yes, I am still one of the few people who buys and plays for the Campaign mode and think of the multi-player as an add on. So far, I am about 6 hours into the campaign and believe I am almost done with it. One word to describe it: "Amazing"Not only is this the best story in any COD game I have ever played, (This one is my 5th), Treyarch actually added new features to the gameplay. Now, more than ever, decisions I made influenced things like who died and the story outcome . There is also a new mode, which lets you control battles from a third person perspective. You can switch to any character's first person perspective or drone in battle, if you like and think your army is not preforming well, using your own skills to help the team.Zombies is also back and better than MW3's. There is a new "mini" adventure mode, in which you and others try to uncover secrets about the place ur exploring, pretty fun, but you always end up dying, as there is no end to this "adventure mode" You can also fight off waves of Zombies like the other games, but to me, zombie's was not really why I bought this game and gets old after a while.Multiplayer is why a lot of you bought this game, and rightfully so. This time, multiplayer introduces features like the new 10 point system, letting you pick from a selection of weapon "grades" But also with this, are the glitches activation brings to every game. Match making is really bad. It took 10 minutes for every game I have played so far to be found and connected, which is way too long when you only have an hour to play. I'm sure activison will release patches in the near future to fix this, but for now, its pretty unacceptable. So far, I'm only level 31, but from what I've played. the spawning is terrible. It doesn't matter which map I play, two seconds after I spawn, a camper decides to screw me over, it gets annoying, and I hope Activision fixes this as well.Truth be told, I would be playing right now if I were at home, and if MIT's professors weren't so boring, I probably would not be writing a review while my teacher is talking about the molecular levels of hydrogen. (Sorry, back to the point)...Overall, this is a fantastic game other than some multiplayer issues which can easily be fixed. 9.1/10

Live and Learn-I Wish I Could Make a Living Doing This
I gave this game five stars. You will wonder why in a few minutes.OK. So, I am a smart guy. Got a few degrees and a doctorate in law. Which means, I should read and know better. BUT, I do give credit where credit is due, and Activision has a scam to make money that makes lawyers look like...Girl Scout Cookie sellers.Black OPs 2 crashed my PS3 within three minutes. I have an original PS3. Never been a problem. In fact, it works perfectly all the time. I bought it because it had a Blu Ray player in it when Blu Ray players were selling for a grand. The PS3 was on sale for around three bills if I bought a Sony Bravia TV on sale for a grand in 2006. Sold.So,. I have played LOTS of games on this system. When I purchased Black Ops 2, I purchased an Xbox type PS3 controller for a friend who likes that controller, and I got the Frag thingie that lets me use a mouse in the right hand and an erg controller for the left. I don't like the PS3 controller. Just me.So,. we load the game, the game calls for the famous NOVEMBER UPDATE...and my PS3 crashes. After four attempts, after clearing everything off the drive, after hours of wasted time, the system crashes every time I try to load this FIFTY DOLLAR GAME.The short of it...DO NOT BUY THIS GAME UNLESS YOU HAVE RENTED IT AND TESTED IT ON YOUR PS3.AFTER buying it, and it seems it is not refundable after opened, which makes no sense, since you can't KNOW if it will crash your console until AFTER you own it, I did what I usually do and did not do in this case.....google PS3 crashing when loading Black Ops 2.Well, imagine my surprise when millions of hits showed up of folks JUST LIKE ME...we gave our money to Activision for NO SANE REASON.Yes, I gave away fifty bucks. Just like that. I know folks who have tried too many times to load the game, and guess what?It destroys their console. Done. Kapupt. Won't ever start again.Morale of story: Activision did a horrible job on this game for PS3. My Xbox friends just LOOOOVE this game. I will never know. I like my PS3 because it streams perfectly, plays Blu Ray perfectly, and plays all my OTHER games perfectly.Skip Black Ops.Oh, and why did I give it five stars?Because any company that can get away with stealing fifty bucks, legally, is worthy of my respect. After all, I am a lawyer. And winning is everything.Caveat emptor, folks. Caveat emptor.I lost. They won.The end.

Black OPS II
this was my first time playing the COD series. i would caution anyone who is new to this game and buying it for the multiplayer/online play, to understand that it is not a "pick-up-and-play" type game; meaning that most likely, you are not going to be very good at it to begin with. it is a very fun and very addictive game and it will be very frustrating to new players as it takes some time to get used to the controls, aiming, POV, and the maps. plus, you start at the bottom with basic weapons and no accessories for them and its a "pay your dues" type of thing. as you get more accustomed to the play, you will be able to unlock very neat weapons and the controls and POV will become natural to you. it took me about 3 weeks to get the hang of it, during which i vowed to never play the game again as it seemed I was always the "sacrificial lamb" in the online matches...now i have a hard time putting the game down. again, once you get the hang of it, the game is really fun and is really never the same each time you play it. after my 3 week "break-in" period, i was able to advance past level 55 and "prestige" in less than a week-and-a-half.as for the reviews mentioning bugs and problems with the online play, i have experienced none. i have a moderate high speed connection but nothing fancy, so most anyone with a good cable or DSL should be good to go.so, if you have the time to put into this game and don't get discouraged while learning to play, you will most likely really like it and it may even become an addiction for you, too.
