The SmartSeat chair protector is the better way to protect your dining room and kitchen chairs from stains and spills. The SmartSeat chair protector is a waterproof, stain resistant and machine washable cover. It provides the same protection as vinyl covers with the benefits of soft and comfortable fabric. The cover is easy to use and fits most chair styles and sizes. Adjustable straps securely attach the cover to your chair. Use it at mealtime, for arts and crafts or leave it on for a clean and attractive look. Available in five wonderful colors: Sandstone Tan, Chocolate Brown, Metro Black, Burgundy Red and Midnight Navy Blue. SmartSeat chair cover can be used with kids, pets, the elderly and even in office environments. They are attractive enough to leave on your chairs when entertaining adults or can be used to give old chairs a fresh new look. Our designers handpicked five colors that match almost any look wherever you use them. We do not offer patterns because they are hard to match to different upholstery and room decor. Rest assured! Our colors wonโt bleed onto your clothes or your chairs and will withstand the test of repeated washing. Our world class color dying process keeps the color in the cover. Fit will vary based on size and style of chair. Optimal fit requires a chair with legs (as opposed to a center pole, as with a swivel office chair) or back rails around which the cover can be secured. While the cover will adequately protect chair upholstery on small chairs, the cover will not fit as snuggly as it does on larger chairs. We are available by email to assist customers in obtaining a snug and attractive fit on chairs of most sizes and styles. Applicable shipping charges if any are non-refundable for undelivered, unclaimed or refused packages unless we made an error. (U.S. Patent No. 8,414,071) THE PRICE IS FOR A SINGLE COVER. Mom with 4 Kids Under 10: Love the covers but it's not what I expected
I really had high hopes for these covers. I've seen and experienced the alternative (plastic) and totally hated them - they remind me of when my grandparents used to cover our sofas with plastic. They were great protecting the fabric but they were tacky, tacky, tacky and they stick to your legs when wearing shorts or skirts.I just bought my dining set and wanted to protect the seats because my kids are very young (10, 7, and 5-year old twins). They constantly spill food and drinks. While we used the table right away, we set aside the chairs to wait for the covers. The covers were delivered within reasonable time. I was so excited when they arrived which meant we can finally use the chairs!! I love the fact that the top feels soft and suede-like and underneath is a waterproof material, and the color is perfect (sandstone tan). I don't mind the velcro because you can adjust according to the size of the chairs.However. it took me almost 2 hours to figure out the correct configuration that would make it fit my chairs, and to properly tuck the sides, front and back so that I don't have any "loose" material. I finally figured that I just needed to pull the straps a little tighter to get that "finished" smooth look (I was afraid the seam might break) - I did this by putting the chair on its back. You cannot get that "pull" if the chair is upright. It took me a few more minutes to tuck the hanging/loose material in the front and sides. The finished product almost look like the picture, but I'm a little disappointed that the back is not completely covered. I might just spray it with some fabric protection. But given the alternative (plastic), I'm ok with this purchase. I just wished putting the covers were a little easier and wished that the shape covered the chair completely.

Fit a bit odd
Admittedly, I'm not using this on a dining chair. Rather, it's on an office chair. My intended usage is to prevent or at least reduce damage to the chair seat fabric caused by the cats digging their claws into it. The cover is a bit odd in the way it fastens to the chair/seat. The product picture makes it look like the cover fits snugly all around the seat, but that is not so. There are 4 velcro straps, intended to connect in 2 pairs under the chair seat. But I found that didn't keep the cover on snugly. What I did was to tie the back 2 together behind the chair and left the front 2 hanging. There's not enough strap length to fasten the front pair. So, the cover stays on the back but moves around on the front. On the other hand, the cats, at least for the moment, have stopped clawing the seat. That's good, because the material the cover is made of is pretty thin. I imagine if they did get the urge to dig in again their claws would go right through. The cover is made of some sort of stretchy stuff. The bottom is a smooth rubbery surface; the top is like a very fine felt. The top feels ok. I got the black color, which has a semi-gloss finish to it.

Great for use with kids!
I bought these seat covers to protect my dining room chairs from my two-year-old. They are wonderful! I bought two so I could make sure that I liked them before I bought more. They went on so well that I immediatly ordered the rest. The woman with the company was super helpful and honored the discount rate on the bulk order, even though I didn't order them all at the same time. She replied to me immediatly, great customer service. The seat covers look very nice on my chairs. The tan color matches almost EXACTLY to the tan microsuede on my chairs. Even without all of my seats covered, it is difficult to tell which seats have the covers on. The covers have a slight gap at the front of the chair because there is no elastic on the covers, but it isn't that noticable. I think it would be difficult to find a seat cover that fits PERFECTLY over all chairs. This one fits as well as a non-custom cover can. It was very easy to put on, with elastic straps that go under the chair. They are high quality material and don't move around on the seat at all, even with my two-year-old climbing on and off the chairs. He has already spilled all over the cover on his chair and nothing has gone through to the permanent chair cushion underneath. I wiped a few of the spills off easily with water, but I haven't tried to wash the covers in the washing machine yet, so I can not attest to how well they wash up. But the few spills that I wiped off with water came off easily, just as they would if you were wiping off microsuede. I would definitely recommend these covers over an ugly/cheap vinyl alternative. I've only had them for a few weeks, I can't attest to how they hold up over time. But they look great, stay on well, and keep spills off my chairs...so I hope they hold up well!

Do not fit the chairs correctly
I bought two seat covers to cover my chairs that my two young children sit on. The seat covers are not very attractive. When I placed the covers on the chair there was extra faberic hanging over at the front however, there was not enough to tuck it in to make it look better. They do a great job of protecting the seat from getting dirty, however I now have one of my chair covers with stains that will not come out. I have found that the Scotchgard fabric protector worked wonders rather than putting these ugly covers on my chairs.

Not worth 24$!
Just keep in mind its only ONE not a set. I expected some sort of elastic band to attach it to the seat but its thick synthetic straps with velcro and the material is quite large so it does not fit snug on our chairs-the straps are dangling from the bottom of chair not pretty at all. Also the material is like neoprene with rubber at the bottom so i am not sure how it would feel sitting on it in the summer. I bought the EZ covers before they fit very nicely and for the same price you get 4 instead of one, only problem is they get soiled and sometimes stains do not come out thats why i decided to give this one a try but it was a miss for me.
