A must read for all who lead, manage, and/or coach Millennials!
Whether a manager/leader in an organization or company, an organizational development or HR professional, an executive coach, or just interested in Millennials (Gen Ys) in the workplace, this is a must read book!I was asked to deliver a program on "coaching Millennials" and having with a focus on delivering leadership development programs I thought this would be pretty straightforward ... until I started researching the topic. I found lots of information (often conflicting) and it was not until I did a quick search on Amazon that I came across Ms. Spiegel's "The Gen Y Handbook." Of all the content I reviewed this is by far this most practical book/resource I have seen. The book addresses key areas associated with successfully leading and coaching Gen Ys. The "Millennial Minutes," "Key Takeaways" at the end of each chapter, and specific tips and strategies throughout can help prepare leader coaches with Millennial team members lead and coach in an exceptional fashion.I will be highly recommending "The Gen Y Handbook" in programs that I deliver!Ed Nottingham, PhD, PCCConsulting & Clinical PsychologistAuthor, It's Not As Bad As It Seems

Good Info
There really was enlightening information for me as a Boomer. I did sense that the author had a "this is the way Gen Ys are and they're not going to change so the rest of the generations need to just change to meet their needs" agenda. But then again the author is the Gen. Y expert and makes her living teaching about them so what else should we expect her to say.

Great handbook!
This book is concise and just enough information - not overwhelming at all! I like small handbooks like this...very helpful. Diane describes the Gen Y eloquently and respectfully...I like that. It's supportive, offers insight and suggestions so relevant and needed in the workplace today. I am a Gen X and always am exploring ways to understand other generations especially in the workplace. All managers and support staff should have this book!
