Excellent book with very interesting details

A very interesting account concerning modern day Albania. Ms. Vickers uses old names for places in the Balkans, but, for some reason, insists on calling Constantinople, Istanbul throughout.

Is a readable, lively account. It would have been better if it had been accompanied by a series of maps.

I will be reading this.

Albania's history is rich and Miranda Vickers has done an excellent job of documenting it.I was pleasantly surprised that she discussed the Arberesh (the Albanese of Italy), even if it was briefly.The book is an excellent resource tool and a great addition to any library.

Very good book base on true events which are included in the book. Highly recommended for anyone that wants to learn about Albania in truthful way.

Just finished reading it. Amazing book about my country. Found out so many things I never knew about Albania and it’s history, great book for anyone interested about Albania’s past.

good analysis of what the Albanians are and where they came from.

Great book on a topic I couldn't find much info on, this is pretty in depth though. Reads easily with a lot packed into each page.
