color me Sili Silicone Round Dual-Color Trivet / Mat

I was hoping that this would be a bit thinner, because the reason that I bought this is to open Pasta Sauce bottles. While it does the job, because of its thickness, I am being called most often from the kitchen, to open the bottles. Don't get me wrong, it does the job, but wish it was thinner.

I really like these silicone not pads. They are VERY pliable, grip easily and they protect my fingers from the heat. The real bonus is when you spill something on them you don't have to toss it into the washer, just step over to the sink, apply a drop of dishwashing liquid, wash, rinse and hang up to dry! FYI - I find the honeycomb design of this mat works better for me over the others with the concentric ring design as they are a good deal more flexible. When wet the honeycomb cells act like little suction cups making it fun to play with! ;)

It's much more rigid silicone than the hexagon ones & the color is different (not complimentary) shades of yellow from one side to the other.

There's not much else to say about it. The bright cheery yellow side is my favorite, the neon yellow side is not as cute of a color. No big deal unless you're extremely particular about coordinating your kitchen. It could probably serve as a pot holder or cast iron pan handler as well.

Good design and quality. It is actually larger than I thought it would be. Works well as a pot holder for me.

this is thick enough for potholder. i recommend this to you. And, It is plenty thick for hot plates too.

My first use, was when I was trying to open a jar of pasta sauce, and wanted extra grip, so used the trivet on the jar lid, got the extra grip and lid came right off.My second use as a trivet was very good, I boiled some pasta and was about to set it onto the counter, when I bumped the pan spilling some pasta water. Because he product was made from silicone, I was able to use my free hand to drain off the spilled pasta water and then place my hot pan on the counter.
