Comprehensive identification and solutions to pests and plant deficiencies
I love that you can look up what is bothering your plants and then find either an organic or non organic solution to the problem.

basic knowledge for the beginning gardener
I was expecting more, but was rather disappointed to discover how basic this book is. lacks in breadth and depth of information IMHO.

A Good Quick Reference Book
I'm busy and what time I have I'd rather spend enjoying my garden, not reading about it. This book is simple to use, I found my problem quickly and easily, then with a quick flip was able to look up the solutions and compare them all in about 15 minutes. The color coding on the pages edges made this a no brainer to use. It is full of colorful photos and attractively put together. The material is easy to read and understand. I liked the interesting facts at the end of some entries (wished all entries had them). I also like that not only did it recommend solutions to pests and problems, but it also dedicated a section of the book to explaining the solutions. I enjoyed it enough to flip through and discovered I'd had a pest in the beds last year I didn't even know about...a tomato hornworm moth. I hope she didn't leave too many eggs behind, but now I know what to be on the lookout for in the caterpillar stage, thanks to just flipping through the book.

Nice Job!
Just got my copy today and it looks great! Professional and practical. Excellent job of providing a non-ideological, easy-to-use resource on garden plants and pests as well as beneficial biological, and as it says, eco-friendly solutions for healthy plants.Disclosure: I contributed several bug images, along with other nature photographers that I know do fine work. I make no royalty on sales. Go ahead and get it!Jon RappColumbia, Missouri
