Its nice to have the splitter up high when you are cutting but when you move the stand on uneven terrain it tips over frequently and harder to move around. Also with the unit up higher it is easier to drop a log on your foot. Knowing the disadvantages, I think it would be better without or to build your own table if you are not moving it around.
