Didn’t work out for us; your mileage may vary.
Purchased this phone for my aging parents, and it didn’t work out as expected. This was partially due to my parents and partially due to the phone. The number buttons were nice and readable; that was great for my mother who has vision problems. However, there are 5 other buttons of the same size and shape with smaller lettering, so the non-numeric buttons were a problem. My mom wanted to use the “auto” button to dial the stored numbers, but had to try to find it by feel. Programming the stored numbers was easy for me to do for her use, however and I appreciated this. The phone is light enough that sometimes it will come along unintentionally with the receiver if you are not careful when you answer the phone. Attaching it to the wall was not possible in our case but would be highly recommended. And when my Mom grabbed the phone to keep it from moving, she would usually push the Speakerphone button, and having it in speakerphone mode confused her totally. Both of my parents never could understand the speakerphone concept, unfortunately. Not the phone’s fault. The sound quality is not great, but quite adequate. Understanding the conversation on either side of the call was not a problem. The listening volume in speakerphone mode seemed to be good when I tested it, but again, my parents never used speakerphone intentionally. The volume when using the handset was good initially, even in the lower volume setting, but after a week, the volume dropped to an unusable level even when the volume was set to the higher setting. (And no, I didn’t confuse it with the ringer volume, which is separate). I believe that this was a phone defect. After the issue started, I even thought there was no dial tone at all because the volume was so low, so it was not going to work for my parents who have worse hearing. And in regards to the ringer volume, the phone caused my mostly deaf parents to jump when it rang (horribly scary on the higher setting, and still quite jarring on the low ringer volume setting). And the ring tone itself is somewhat obnoxious but would likely be fine if the volume could be turned down sufficiently. The ringer speaker is under the phone and I tried putting the phone on a soft pad to absorb the sound but this still didn’t help enough to make it tolerable. The ring volume might be an advantage in some cases, but was a problem for them. It needs an third setting (low low) in my opinion. So I returned the phone as it was frustrating my parents in some regards, and not working at all in others. If the intended recipient wants to use it as a speaker phone, has better vision than my mom if use of the other buttons is desired, and doesn’t mind a very loud ring, it would be a fine phone.

More than just a Big Button Phone
My mother in law, who is in her 90's, has poor vision and wears 2 hearing aids. We already knew that large black numbers on a white keypad work best for her. We ordered this phone because it seemed to match her needs perfectly. The phone, (which arrived a day early) was even better than we imagined. The black letters and buttons were a lot larger than we expected. The handset and ringer volume controls, and the flashing light when the phone ring, are her favorite features. She also has my wife on speed dial, sigh.Bottom line is, we have a happy mother in law.

Perfect corded phone for my grandma
Purchased this phone for my grandma who is 89 year old and having trouble seeing. The speed dial memory function is perfect for her. She can dial out the stored phone numbers just by pressing 2 buttons. And the big button numbers make it easier for her to dial. Amplification is very good on this phone.Would highly recommend this product for those with sight/hearing issues.

Great phone
I have the ring and listening sound on hi as my hearing isn't great. Works great. I can now hear everyone on the phone without asking them to repeat things and if I'm in the kitchen, I can hear the phone ring in the living room. I love the large buttons. They are so easy to use. I got them for my hearing but I love the large buttons too. Would recommend this phone. It also has other features like hold, speaker phone, store, auto, dash re-dial.

Simple and easy to use, Happy with this amplified phone.
This amplified corded phone is simple and easy to use. Large numbers I can see without my glasses and I don't have to worry about pressing two at the same time. I love the big buttons! The sound is clear and loud. It also stores numbers for speed dial. Excellent product especially for seniors or those who have vision or hearing challenges

Overall assessment of phone
The large buttons are great for my friend to dial with who is visually impaired. The ringer is either HI or LOW and not variable which would be preferred. The listening volume can be adjusted which is good. However, listening to someone on this phone doesn't have quite the clarity of many other brands. It's adequate but not perfect. So, in this area, I give it a 7.5 out of ten. But overall for the price and the ease of dialling, it's not bad.

Disappointed
The phone worked fine for about a week then I called a friend and they could not hear me at all. Thought maybe it was the line, switched the phone and called the same person and they had no problem hearing me...sent the phone back!

Best landline phone for the Visually Impaired & Hard of Hearing Folks Ever!
My Mom has severe macular degeneration in both eyes, wears hearing aids, and just loves this phone! It's white and easier to see; has large white buttons with large black numbers; is light to pick up; and the volume levels are as promised, EXTRA LOUD! Mom is extremely happy with her new phone!

As expected
The phone arrived promptly in perfect condition. It is simple to use and my elderly friend can hear much more easily. She also finds the extra large numbers helpful. It is priced very well.

Great phone for the elderly
Very large easy to read keys. Loud ring that can be easily heard anywhere in the house. Volume at optimum level so that the phone conversation can be completely understood. One of the best purchases that I have made on Amazon.

Poor quality
The clip for wall hanging is a very poor fit, and the flash hook will not depress under the weight of the handset. Overall very disappointing.
