Raspberry Pi Zero Camera Mini Size 5MP OV5647 Sensor 1080P HD Zero Camera Module for Rpi Zero W

This is a workable solution for some applications, but I should have researched a bit further. While the camera works fine, the form factor doesn't work with an official Pi Zero case. There is no way to properly install the cable (it's way too long) or orient the camera within that case (it would just rattle around). I am going to set this camera aside for some other application. Better to get the official PI camera that fits the case. And unlike the official camera, which allows you to connect any cable you want, this camera has a fixed connection at the camera end. This makes sense since the wiring is so small. I am not sure if there is a case made for this type of camera + Pi Zero.

The camera overall is well built, and setup is easy. I was able to get a video of 75 FPS out of it within 15 minutes. The one bad thing with this unit is the low quality, but that is expected for a camera this tiny and for this price. The adhesive sticks well and is a good mounting solution. I am using it for capturing training data for deep learning, so I appreciate the high frame rate on the camera. If I needed another one of these, I would decidedly buy this unit.

The camera works and that is the only good thing I can say. It is totally useless since it can't be mount on any raspberry case that I own (and I have a lot).Sorry I bought it but will not return it.
