This book obviously had something spilled on it and pages in the back are stuck together. This is my worst rental ever. I need this book otherwise I would return it.

Used it for a 1st-year Intro to Anthro class. It's kind of got some personal anecdotal stuff about Kottak's travels and work, so it's got personal reflection and observation throughout. But Kottak does inform on all the principals in the development of anthropology as a science.There was a fairly obvious liberal bias in favor of globalism and acceptance of global warming and other moderately suspect new world science. It was necessary to just parrot the answers back to my instructor from the pages.
