SCYAN X9 Fingerprint Touchscreen Door Lock, Non-Handed, Satin Nickel, X9SN

I have a few of these in my home. It's a nice lock and it works pretty well. The fingerprint reader takes a couple of tries. It should be more like cell phone fingerprint readers that take a couple of different views of your fingerprint and is able to have a better scanning success rate, but for the money this is a good lock.

Bought this item and installed it per the instructions. It worked just fine...for 3 days then the fingerprint part stopped working and became inoperable. Then it started just unlocking randomly and would not lock until resetting it. Came into the office with an unlocked door on 2 occasions. I emailed the company and got no response at all. I strongly urge anyone looking at these types of locks to stay clear of this one.

The fingerprint scanner stops working every time it rains, the seal must be bad in the scanner. Batteries don’t last very long at all. After 2 years it completely stopped working.

I purchased 2 of these for offices.Operationally the lock works great; no issues with reading fingerprints once it's setup and the hardware has a solid feel with a sleek and professional appearance. Reviews elsewhere mention it's slow to read your fingerprint to unlock the door but I've not experienced that with either unit.Setup: This is a heavy lockset and installation requires an additional hole in the door for a thru-bolt that attaches both sides of the hardware above the knob area. The unit fits tight in a standard doorknob hole but do NOT try to force the knob mechanism through the horizontal latch; the slightest bend in that latch mechanism will keep it from extending and retracting (locked or not), and you won't know until after it's all installed. I bent one slightly so if yours doesn't fit I suggest sanding out the hole in the door slightly to allow the 2 components to line up precisely. There are tiny screws to remove the battery mount in order to access the thru-bolt mentioned above. Installing the handle at the final step could be frustrating so read the instructions carefully or find a video online that explains how to get the handle over the removable brass catch.This is a great value compared to other quality locksets out there; I dinged one star due to the installation complexity.

I love this lock. If you have ever put a doorknob on before, you can do this. The confusion comes in when you place the front handle door lever on vs the back handle lever. I strongly urge you to watch their video on lock installation if you have not installed a digital lock before. The front hole takes a brass rivet which is poked in with a plier, the back handle is secured with a threaded Allen rivet. I highly recommend this lock, all functions worked first time out the gate, and Amazon helped me fix the confusion on door handle.

Used it in the office. Seems very well made. Overall I think it was worth the value

This lock just stopped working for no reason, changed batteries, still the pad is not even lighting up. How do I reach this vendor?
