Excellent Introduction outlining a brief history of the group and generous and accurate audio downloadable tracks from the 12 popular songs which includes slow mode and full band to play along with.Steve Howe was a major influence when I was a young aspiring rock guitarist growing up in the ‘70s. Howe was more difficult to master than Jimmy Page, in my opinion, and was consciously out to “shake up the guitar” in his own words. “Roundabout” was actually one of the easier and accessible pieces to play and still holds up today. Howe’s blend of techniques and styles including Jazz, classical and flamenco transcended rock guitar. He knew how to ingeniously borrow and integrate from classical Bach on his “Mood for a Day” instrumental or Chet Atkins influenced “The Clap” virtuoso song.His signature Gibson ES-175 and range of other instruments from pedal steel, 12-string, Sitars and the Vachalia (a Portuguese guitar) used on “Wondrous Stories” (not included in this book) continues to influence me as a guitarist and songwriter to always aspire to new heights and “shake up the guitar” in new ways.Stay inspired and enjoy the process.

A very good book he did it on Neil Young to in the past the only thing bad is some songs are only part of them. Although Yes always had very long songs, so that is understandable. I like the way he has mood for a day because it is like Steve Howes live version in a way he says he did it off youtube footage of him playing it try it out the beginning part is not on it though. You can figure that part out he says what the chords to play you need to know a little flamenco guitar for those parts though.

not the tabs for the complete songs, but some are pretty big chunks of the song. More about learning Steve's Technic which is a bit more complex then a lot of rocks guitarist.

The book guides us through Steve's techniques on many of the best YES songs. I was disappointed I had to download the audio rather than have a supplied CD as before. This book is a great addition to the Signature Licks series.

Very sensibly and respectfully prepared work. Just learning the intro to Siberian Khatru is priceless.
