Bienfang Sketch Pad 11x14 Inch, 100 Sheets of 60lb 90gsm Art Paper, Spiral Bound Sketch Book Drawing Notebook

Love the size of this baby. I use it for brainstorming and 11 x 14 really helps you think outside the box! According to the cover it's the same weight of my old pad but it sure doesn't feel the same. I did test it with markers and there's no bleed through so that's good. I had ordered a different brand before I found this one. It took a long time to get here so I already started using the other one. I'll keep this one too, who knows what paper will be like next time I need a new pad?

This paper is of a thin weight. Not the best quality for a drawing class. Perhaps I should have researched the purchase more.

This item is exactly as described. If I were the manufacturer, however (this is a wish-list), I'd place a heavier grade of paper into this spiral bound book, along with a laminated cover. Most of us sketch artists note that the paper seems a bit light, and when you haul a sketchbook around all the time, the cover especially takes a beating. I love the spiral bound binding, as with a bit of careful bending with needle-nose pliers, one can spin out the metal spine to replace/remove pages without tearing them out of the book.

Great paper quality especially for the price. I’ve used this sketchbook for several mixed media projects and haven’t experienced any bleed-through even when using Posca Paint pens.

The size was right and my daughter loves it for that very reason.
