Well the unit failed at the end of May not sure what happened but it just stop working I sent an email to the manufacturer and they responded fairly quickly waiting on what they say based on the situation if they’re going to repair or replace. Will update more when available. But the light when it did work was very good and bright And I hate it that it stopped working.Well first night of operation and the light is really bright and looks good on the barn. Everything was included in the box needed, fit and finish was good, installation was easy and all wire was color coded to standard US colors. I used butt terminals to connect my wire to the light wire. The butt terminals had heat shrink tube and I added another layer of heat shrink to the terminals. Overall well please with first night of use.

Bought 2 of these lights to replace old mercury vapor lights in our church parking lot. Installed them and was pleased with the bright light they produced. Purchased a third light, but did not get it installed immediately. Less than a year after installing the first lights, one quit working. Circuit board for photo eye was fried. Ordered new eye replacement under warranty. While waiting for replacement eye, replaced faulty fixture with third light I still had on the shelf. Received new photo eye and installed it in faulty fixture. Second light then failed, also less than a year after installation, so I replaced it with the repaired light, which worked great while I was up in the lift. Unfortunately it failed less than 24 hours later! Haven't pulled it down too diagnose problem yet. Took apart second failed light and found a small component had fallen off the circuit board in the photo eye. 3 light failures in less than a year is about 3 too many! Getting tired of replacing junk lights, even if they are under warranty! Take my advice. Believe the reviews and buy something else!

See Update below.. I purchased 1 and installed it and bought 3 more. Really bright and easy to install when you purchase the Area Light Dusk to Dawn Extension Mounting Arm, Mounting Pole for Barn Light, Security Light, Yard Lamp.Update. 2.9.2022In just over 25 months 2 lights have gone out. I contacted Bobcat lighting and they want the warranty card filled out. No problem for that. But they want to ship you 2 replacement photo cells at my cost of $11.00 shipping. This is a bit much for 2 photocell when not even sure if that is the problem. Or pay to have the whole light shipped back. So just beware the 5 year warranty is only for refurbished lights or free photocell with you paying shipping. But when working the lights are good and bright. Now waiting for the to respond from warranty card.

I ordered one of these 110 watt Bobcat lights with easy replaceable photo cells. The photo cell quit at about 6 mos. and the company is sending me another one free of charge. Its such a good light I a bought a second one (no more 110 watt so I got an 80 Watt) from them. What sold me is the changeable photo cell free for 10 years and the 5 year warranty on the light. Bob cat is great to work with...I'm assuming I will receive the replacement photo cell soon.

This was exactly what I was needing, all the parts are there to install, I bought the correct wire and installed it myself without a hitch.. my family love the new light as well as it lights up our backyard so we can see our dogs when they are out.. also has seemed to keep down the wildlife from our backyard as we live in a very rural area and have gotten a lot of skunks, possums, deer and coyotes.. update!! Light worked great for 4 months... then I wish I would have the people others got to resolve issue... 50 minutes chatting, mostly a waste of time... you get a new chat person every 5 minutes and then they have to catch up with the problem... serious waste of time... I thought a simple problem that would be solved in a few days is going to be weeks.. very disappointed in the Amazon end to get to the manufacturer’s help... new update I finally got in touch with bobcat lighting, they sent a new photo cell, replaced it and after about an hour it started blinking again, notified them of the problem and they sent a new complete light, installed new light and has worked perfect for the last 3 weeks, they sent the new light free of charge.. hopefully it will work free of problems

I liked the design....will deflect moisture from getting in without having to caulk. Very bright, and undoubtedly will use less electricity than my older light, which was a halogen light. Installation was a snap....three small lag bolts, then two small bolts for the undercarriage plate. I used my own weatherproof wire nuts (three) because of the light's exposed positioning to the weather. The first thing my wife said when I asked her to look at the new light was "Wow, it's much brighter than the other light."

I purchased many of your barn lights for my self storage unit. Out of the 9 purchased 4 went out in a year after installation. I am having difficulty contacting the seller for replacement. I really like the lights and they illuminate very well the dark areas over the storage units in the black night of Arizona. I am hoping the seller will work with me on replacement of the 5 year warranty that comes with the lights.

The quality of the light seems pretty decent and it's a good looking unit. Have no idea as to the longevity or brightness as I have yet to wire it up, but I wanted to caution folks about one problem with it. There are no washers included with the unit for the the lag screws and without any the screws they dig into the housing quite a bit. There is no template for the mounting holes and because there is no slop in the slots for the screws, the fixture cannot be leveled even a little bit once it's in place so make sure you get your holes in the right spots. Ask me how I know.Edit, 5/23/20. FInally got power out to the shed. The light is nice and bright, the electric eye works as it should. Time will tell how long it lasts.Edit, 8/10/23 - well now the light blinks all night when it comes on. So we know these last a little over 3 years. That's how long they last. I am changing it to 3 stars instead of 4. An LED light should last longer than that.
