Carter Electric Fuel Pump 24V Automotive Replacement Compatible with Heavy Duty and Marine Applications (P4603HD)

Carter says their rotary vane pumps are good for gas and diesel, not just diesel as Amazon ad says. So, I installed it on my 1963 gasoline powered Unimog and it is so far, working just fine.

Works good on 24v heavy equipment... Just spens the extra money and put a filter base and filter before the pump... it will extend the life of the pump

Very well constructed, very easy to install, however in the one that we purchased we noticed a small leak on the one side. We tightened it as tight as it can get and it still has that one tiny, tiny leak that we couldn't stop, however the fuel pump is a great buy

I purchased this item on February 19th 2013 and it arrived in a timely fashion. But the unit failed on August 5th 2013. I contacted the manufacturer, Federal-Mogul, and was told that all warranty claims are handled through the retailer who is then credited by Federal-Mogul. The Federal-Mogul representative informed me that all retailers must sign a contract. The contract stipulates that the retailer is responsible for handling the warranty process. So I attempted to contact the seller and I am told that they are not going to honor the warranty nor their contract with Federal-Mogul. I am yet to finish with this hassle but I think that other potential customers should be aware that while this seller advertises warranties they do not honor them. In effect they can sell faulty merchandise and when it fails you, the buyer, are stuck.
