Great equipment, no complaints
I've owned two Ring doorbells on a property in the USA and decided to install one here in the UK. They re amazing bits of kit but you do need some technical savvy, patience and a strong router. It's no good having ultra fast broadband if your router is not strong enough to reach the units. The broadband speed is irrelevant to be honest so people complaining about the connectivity clearly don't understand the issue. Helpdesk was perfectly helpful and the nighttime vision is more than adequate. Millions of these units have been sold, very few have had issues so trust the rest of the world not some person who struggles with basic computer understanding

Worst Experience with Ring Video Doorbell Pro
For those of you that find long comments exhausting, I’ll summarised by saying that you should try as much as possible to avoid buying Ring video doorbell Pro as it simply does not do the job it is designed to do. My experience with Ring video doorbell Pro is extremely disappointing after 6 weeks of purchase. If you want to know more about my experience, then you can read further.I did a lot of research before coming to conclusion that I’ll buy Ring video doorbell Pro, during my research when I read different articles and aftermath comments from people who have purchased and use it, there is a common alarming notice that they all mentioned and it is the fact that it is very slow to response once an intruder steps into boundary that it is mapped by the user, this observation is quickly disputed by the Ring team who blamed a likely bad internet service for the reason why this is happening. I fell for the Ring representative argument because I was convinced it wouldn’t happen to me as I have a fast fibre broadband, however I can categorically confirm to you guys that this is not true. I have a high broad band fibre optic internet where I effortlessly stream 4k video from Netflix without any hiccup whatsoever, yet the Ring Pro is not able to stream 1080 HD video instantly, but continuous blue circle runs with the phrase “Activating device” shows up without no live videos and later a “streaming error” message glare the screen. Also, this is not a distance issue as the Ring Pro doorbell is just 3 steps away from the router! Before I purchased it, I was fortunate to see Ring Pro doorbell practical flaws in my friend’s house and my friend warned me but I was already set in my mind as I was trapped by the Ring Pro doorbell design and I thought people that complained of lack of stream by Ring Pro doorbell had internet issue but I am totally wrong. There are quite a lot of false positive alerts I get every 3 minutes despite bespoke mapping area. The annoying thing is that I keep checking several times when the alerts pops up but later I got exhausted and I didn’t even bother anymore by which when an important activity really happened I miss it because I thought it was another false alert. The playback of recorded video is not instant to stream, the lagging is ridiculous! You will wait till stone turns to water…which will never happen.Customer Service – After my horrible experience with Ring video doorbell Pro I turned to Ring customer service of which I gave them an opportunity to put things right but ghastly for me it is a rather waste of my time. I am not making this up, I have evidence! When I contacted Ring, someone called J. Allen booked me an appointment (reference ICLJ-MCVB-YAVD) to discuss for the 1st July 2019 by 7 pm UK time but he never contacted me for the appointment, I complained via email and he booked me another appointment (reference DMMO-BPBF-JVYB) for the 7th July 2019 – 5pm UK time, he never contacted me and I am still waiting for his call till today! The picture on the Ring Pro is ok but not great. The chime volume is not loud compared to traditional doorbell. You will need to shout like a mad man before anyone can hear you for the 2-way communication, that is if the voice doesn’t break up. The only thing good about Ring Pro door bell is that it looks nice on the door but what is the point of a fancy doorbell if it does not actually do what it is claimed by the manufacturer that it does!I am least happy about this product and I truly feel that I have been robbed. According to the UK consumer law if the product sold to a customer does not do what it is designed to do, the customer should be given a full refund and that’s exactly what I want. I am highly disappointed, disgusted and exhausted. Ring Pro doorbell makes me depress seriously!Ring should do more research and established trials on their product before it is release on the market for consumers.I have never written a review before but I was compelled to write on this occasion as I felt like I got robbed of my hard earned money.I can continue if I have the time but at least any doorbell novice who’s interested in buying a doorbell can make their mind up from my expressed experience. I will advice you to avoid Ring Video doorbell Pro as a plague, don’t fall for its good looks think about practicality of the product. My friend now uses Nest doorbell however I can not advice anyone to buy it as I have not use Nest doorbell myself.
