Too much white cast, not water or sweat resistant
I really wanted a better mineral based sunscreen for the face than the Alba or Coppertone Pure & Simple suncreens that I normally use for my body, as they can feel a *tad* on the greasy or heavy side. So, I bought this.Unfortunately, it simply doesn't deliver.Pros:* Yes, it is less greasy than the Alba or Coppertone sunscreens that I use.* Effective at blocking out the sun* Price is decentCons:* It always leaves a pale cast, no matter how much you rub it in. At the beach, I did my face in this, my body in the others, and my body looked like a normal tone and my face looked, well, sickly and anemic.* It isn't waterproof at all. Sweat causes it to bead up and drip. It got in my eyes a lot, which would make them slightly dry, sting, burn - not horribly but to where I felt like I must be tired. Required re-applications after going in the water. So, after this investment (and unfortunately now having 2 bottles of the stuff) I kinda regret this purchase, and just opt to use the heavier stuff on my face. I'd rather look a little shiny on the face than like I've just seen a ghost.

It works!
Many years ago I was recommended this by my dermatologist... as I have been dealing with skin cancers on and off for 48 years. She said sun screen needs those 2 ingredients to do the best protection. Been using it for years, and very pleased with results. Never found any other that has the same ingredients. This product is perfect for the face, but,I use it on my arms too. The body one is 50, and is too thick.

Highly Recommend
Best zinc oxide sunscreen I've used yet for my face and I've tried several. I mix a small amount of tinted foundation in with the sunscreen and no white cast. The zinc oxide also works as a primer smoothing out imperfections.

It's really hard to spread
I have many kinds of sunscreen, but none of them like this one. It's really really hard to spread! And it makes my face like a white mask. I don't know how it works in sun protection, but I don't want to use it anymore. I've heard about this brand for a long time, but now I'm wondering how its good reviews come. Disappointed about it.

Very white/pale looking
While probably a great product on paper, it's appearance is extremely white. It was difficult to rub into my skin. It was very apparent I was wearing heavy sunscreen... and looked exceptionally pale.

okay
This product works well as a sunscreen. I wanted it to use every morning either as a foundation or under a foundation. It does leave a slightly creamy white glow to your skin so I do not like it as a foundation. I did purchase the tinted version and that one is great!

White cast!
The sunscreen worked fine but left a terrible white cast. I’m very fair skinned and it would not blend. I added a bit of foundation and that seems to help a bit.I recommend getting the tinted version.

Quality
I love this sunscreen so much. I have never liked using sunscreen on my face until I discovered this product. It does give a white cast but nothing a little foundation or bronzer can’t handle. It keeps my face protected at all times.

Leaves a white cast
Although this product has really good ingredients, it leaves a white cast/ film. I have tried to work it into small sections of my face as suggested but the white cast is still visible. When rubbing it in, i also noticed that the sunscreen tends to leave some specks of residue!
