Tortilla Press Aluminum Cast 8 inch Mexican Made Guasave Sinaloa

Beautiful tortilla maker, just as pictured!!I was a little nervous because this item had no reviews but I'm so glad I ordered it! Very well made and I love everything about it.

Good product. I like the larger size, and as long as I line it with plastic, the tortillas come off very easily--basically no clean-up required. I have to rotate the tortillas inside the press about three or four times to get an even thickness, but it's still a lot faster than pressing between boards.

There are no instructions on how to assemble. The photos on amazon show the chef using the press with the handle upside down. Once the handle is in the correct position it works great!

We opened it up and silvery residue came off like it was spray painted. There were marks on it that looked like the finish will come off across the entire item. Returning it.

The press is not strong enough or engineered well enough to really flatten a tortilla. It works OK, up to a point, but my tortilla's that should be 7 inches or so in diameter are about 4 inches and too thick. The aluminum bends and arches between the edges where it is secured and the center. I've attached a picture showing the bending/bowing of the press. Perhaps I shop again for cast iron and/or something the pushes down from the middle of the press and not just the edges.

No Super Hero Strength Needed! So easy to use. I bought the tortilla parchments as well. To make ahead and put in the fridge. Endless flavors I use. REAL FOOD TASTES BETTER! Southwest & spicy... or puréed veggies (ie: spinach) added to masa for using for sandwich wraps. LOVE IT! It has good weight but not too heavy.
