Really difficult to remove transponder from old key. You need to butcher it.New key much better than old, but still get the occasional boot open or door unlock when you didn't want to. I wish Porsche would only allow the boots to open once car was unlocked...

For an aftermarket item this is very good and am pleased with it. You have to destroy your old key case to safely remove the transponder, and a blob of glue to set it into the new case. Swapping over the battery terminals is fiddly and a little loose but ok. You aren’t able to use the original ribbed buttons in the new case unfortunately so you have to use the ones supplied. The key blade is an easy swap. Set aside a bit of time and you’ll be happy with the results. But overall happy with result, also it does come with the Porsche crest which you just stick into recess.

Done what it was supposed to

the item did not include the chip - so would have needed to have removed from the broken key - this however would have broken the item on removal so no idea how you are meant to do this - no instruction on this.
