OrlimarEscape Fairway Wood Golf Clubs for Men and Women, Right Handed

More than satisfied 👍👍
The media could not be loaded. I bought the 5 wood and I can't believe the quality for such a cheap costing club. I'm 35 and just started golfing during quarantine, I needed this to fill the 19 degree or so loft I was missing and it fit perfect. The shaft is beautiful and swings great, I gave it nice easy controlled hits and it went 200 like I had smashed it. The head is painted amazingly, my friend topped it and left a sky mark when I wasn't looking, it came right off when I rubbed it rough with my thumb and left no scratches. Just before I bought this, I had gone to Dick's Sporting Goods and hit a cheap 50$ Gamer brand and a 300$ Taylormade. You could FEEL the quality of the Taylormade, but as an amature, I hit this Orlimar straighter and with more control, and now I have 250$ saved by not buying the Taylormade that I can spend on practice at the range 🙂🙂 Oh, last note, this is DEFINITELY a wood, I know it looks strange but it hits off flat easy, and double last note, the grip is fantastic that it came with, too 👌👌

All was good until the head fell off.
I bought this because I needed a new 3 wood/ fairway wood for my bag. I don’t play super often, so I didn’t want to spend a ton on money. I had a golf tournament to play in coming up, so the night I got this in the mail, I took it to the driving range to give it a try. The first swing, it was a great shot. “Wow,” I thought, “this seems to be a good little club.” I took two more swings and it was pretty good. The forth swing I took, I finished my follow through and it seemed a little light, I looked up to find where I hit my ball and there was the club head from this club floating in the air about 30 yards from me along with the ball. I understand that cheaper clubs may break sometimes, but not after 4 swings. Maybe this one was just from a bad batch, but I get the feeling they’re all kind of made like that.

This club is fantastic
I bought Orlimar's 9 wood- after reading that Michele Wie is now keeping a 9 wood in her bag. I love that club, so I purchased its longer brother, the 3 wood. I've just practiced with it for one day, but already I've shelved the cobra for it. It looks like a terrific fairway wood for me, and I am thinking it might well replace my 5 wood. And the price - I'm not sure what the deal is for some of the higher-priced clubs out there. A great club, no mistake.

A 15 Wood that I am successfully using as a PW !!!
After not playing this club much in 2020, I started out in 2021 with it experimenting for the best places and situations to use it. The angle of the club head, the feel of the club, and the ease with which I strike the ball with this club when on approach to the green, are all positives! The rounds I've played this year (2021) where I went to this club as a PW, I achieved nice loft and a soft landing on or at least around the green, as an amateur golfer. This club has become a pleasant surprise, after I initially purchased it and then wasn't sure of the situations in which I'd use it - which I've easily found in 2021. This is now a regular club inclusion in my main golf bag!

Not your father's Orlimar
I had one of the originals from the 90s. I gave it to my wife. She loves. I'll never get it back. Yes, it does have the smaller club face and lower center of gravity similar to the original. There is enough difference for me to say I would not buy these again. The original lifts up nicely and is very forgiving - meaning I hit it very straight. These new models or no difference than the average fairway wood when it comes to forgiveness - there has been none for me. I slice with these worse than any other club I have ever hit. That includes my driver. I long sang the praises of Orlimar. Now my wife has my favorite club with a new grip, and she is rippin' it. Guess I'm going shopping again.

Ben
This club belongs to my 83 year old wife that just started playing golf. She has a name for all her clubs and this one is named Ben in honor of her dad. At the driving range she hits this club 180 yards. Her weight is 110 lbs what else can we say.

Great addition to my bag
Aside from a SW I use hybrid style clubs exclusively. I am not a divot guy but more of a sweeper. I had used Orlimar IRS and Bobby Jones Blackbirds and found the "15-Wood" to be a great swap out for my 8 Iron IRS. The longer shaft was a plus and the club has performed very consistently.

So far so good...for the price
Seems like a nice club. Will use Saturday and update review. Came fairly quick I've used it several times now and I like it it seems pretty durable and pretty accurate for the price would definitely recommend it

Didn't meet my expectations
Not what I was expecting in terms of hit ability. Should have try one before buying.

Good on the fairway
It takes a while to get used to but I’m seeing a good improvement over my usual 3 wood!
