Wathing the Manga of this had me thinking, "T. Miike likes madness as a prize." It was great stuff, confusing in some ways but pretty in others, and I wanted some clarity when playing in the muss and fuss. So i picked this up, looked over it, and thought about how odd and disturbed it was. That made me happy because, amongst other things, i like the feel of what I was given. Instead of holding hands and hoping for the best, this book took an idea and it ran with it - like a truck with its brakes out heading for diners that hadn't taken the time to take note.I loved it, too - enough that it made me smile and laugh and think about how horrible beauty can be. I can't praise it enough.for those who never saw the manga, fear not. Some of the manga was a bit confusing and, admittedly, I kept wondering what some things would mean. This does not mean that it was bad - far from it - it just means that the book cleaned up those edge. Now, instead of standing on the shore and trying to wade in, I stand at the edge of a page and keep wanting it to go deeper. It has a thrilling feel to it, one that has depravity and deep lines cut into the page, and I like it. i like the way the clock strikes "story" and I can see everything at the end, and the way I have to pay attention a lot of times or miss little things. I also like the art - it is sexy - and I like the way the wholeoutline comes together. This could have been a failure or just another homage to something that had no feeling. It instead took on a life of its own, and I thought that was nice.Granted, this has some deeply disturbing scenes and someone might want to remember that before jumping in. Still, I liked jumping in and say that anyone that thinks that this description sounds good should follow suit.It all has meaning, all faces you in a grand way, and it all can be shocking. Just the way momma used to make, only stronger.

Manga Horror that Chills you to the Bone
Otsuka and Tajima deliver well-crafted tales of madness in this short collection of Manga Horror, featuring a detective with multiple personalities. There is a lot of disturbing imagery, but each case is original and twisted in its own right, and makes for a riveting read. I couldn't put the book down until I had finished it. The art is also surprisingly good, and complements each story in black and white.

Gore & Lore Galore!
As much as I love a good horror mystery thriller, I gotta say the real draw of this series is the story. The shock value of the corpses depicted in this story seem to exist to draw you in, while the implications of the state of the bodies adds to the overarching story beats that keeps you reading ahead. Not for the faint of heart or stomach, but always welcoming to hardcore horror fans!

Five Stars
Good story and interesting characters. Good clean art. Cost of each issue is going to break the bank.

That's not to say that I didn't enjoy the story
Things that make you go "eww" and shudder abound in this chilling crime drama. It's NOT for the weak-stomached. That's not to say that I didn't enjoy the story, mind you, but this series definitely ratchets up the shock value of the visual medium.

MPD Psycho 1-10
Ich habe die englische Version des Mangas von Band 1 bis Band 10. Die Reihe ist sehr spannend und interessant aber auch sehr brutal und teilweise ekelig gezeichnet. Ob auch der 11. Band noch erscheint?

It's all right, nothing special.
It's okay, nothing special, average writing. I know it's only the first volume and that manga can take a few volumes to get going, but i won't be getting the other volumes, not interesting enough for me.
