desertcart.com: NO FEAR: A Simple Guide to Mental Toughness eBook : Bell, Dr. Rob: Kindle Store Review: "Straight, No Chaser" Wake-Up Call - The reason I purchased the Kindle edition of this book after downloading the sample is pretty simple...I like the language as well as the direct manner in which the message is delivered. Example: "We can’t afford to lose confidence in ourselves. Keep moving forward no matter how bad we have messed up. The best time to plant a tree was twenty years ago; the next best time is today. Get back on it." (Bell, Dr. Rob (2015-02-03). NO FEAR: A Simple Guide to Mental Toughness (Kindle Locations 214-216). DRB Press. Kindle Edition.) The best advice I can give you is that there is a time for poetry and a time for the straight, unfiltered truth. While Dr. Rob may use a METAPHOR as in the example I've pasted above, this isn't a warm & fuzzy new age type of book. It's that first hot cup of coffee in the morning. It wakes you up. Dr. Rob knows what makes people tick and he wastes no words here as he encourages you to get out of your own way and get on with your life. VERY highly recommended. Review: This is a really good, and eye opening book - This is a really good, and eye opening book. It teaches you to discipline and focus on your main target, "no matter what". I liked the writing style (categorising with abbreviations), so you can remember the steps easily.

Powerful message
A short read but filled with life changing concepts. I'd recommend this to anyone that wants to know how to handle their fear and live life in a happier and more impactful way.

Excellent.
Excellent. Verses and sayings that are so true that you would easily forget to think about. The truth about the truth and what and how we ought to view adversity.

Good read
It is Motivating in part, but it almost like other books that teach you how to think positively, nothing really special.

Interesting
Intriguing anecdotes. Encouraging stories. Overall I think this is a pretty solid book with less actionable info than I would like.

A Quick & Powerful Read!
This is a short, but powerful read. So much so, that it is something that I have my three kids (all high school athletes) read. I love the examples ... and can especially appreciate the fact that Dr. Bell included his own (albeit minor) shortcomings in the process.
