I'm surprised that the book has such good reviews, because the ideas are really basic and (if you're not already familiar with them) easily found with a quick google search for DIY spy ideas. I rarely throw things out instead of passing them along, but I don't know any kids who wouldn't be under-whelmed by the ideas in this book, so it went in the garbage since my used copy wasn't worth the postage required to send it back.

There must be some smart kids out there. Need to keep up. I am reading it and started to go online to check on some of the spying stuff online. Good grief! Lots of stuff out there and so many men spying- not on the Chinese or Russkies, but on neighbors, women, and who knows, but back to the book. It is a good buy. (They say women make great spies though.)

Kids can spend hours with this thing, and I think it is a great "toy" that is one heck of a lot better than the video games or whatever else electronic they seem to want to spend time on today. What I really like about this is it gets them to think, plan, and strategize as well as have a good time doing it. When things work out there are high fives all around or if it doesn't they go back and try a different strategy and approach - each time usually with a smile on their face and relaying back to the parent and their friends how great it was.If you are looking for a good activity for your kids this summer, this one should be on your list!

Bought for my grandson's birthday and he will love it! He is into the "spy" things now and this book has many activities for him to do and will keep him busy and hold his attention.

The recipient loved it! He wanted spy stuff and this was highly rated and it didn't disappoint!

Its not the best book. I don't have that kind of stuff around my house. I did like some but as some others said it has a lot of basic stuff. I did like sone things though. Some were very clever. I am sure alot of you who read this review will have different opinions. I hope you find this review helpful in a good way. :)

Great assortment of activities to entertain and challenge the children--got my brain going too!

Great book full of simple ideas. Some requiring specific equipment but most can be done by anyone. Very useful information as well.

Entertaining for six-year old grandchild into spying as his latest enthusiasm (with parental help). Should keep him amused for a while.

Great book for younger children whether under supervision from age 6 or on their own up into their early teens. Very well written and explained throughout.

We really like this book. My 6 year old son really loves learning about spies, and this book does a great job of talking about how a spy acts, how they do their jobs and how spies go undetected. I liked the chapter sections, and it was written in a way that he was able to read and understand on his own.The only criticism that I have is that many of the experiments are rather simplistic, and my 6 year old had done them before at school. He still enjoyed the activities, but he really enjoyed the information and stories in the book even more.

i bought this as a Christmas present. Did not get any feed back from child as I have in the past from other presents. it was on her wish list. so she did want it.

The book was received in good order. although it did take longer than I thought before it was actually sent out to me
