Uniquely idiosyncratic and unlike anything else, it throbs with genuine signs of life! But not for everyone.
This book is craaazyy! Whether in a good way depends on whether you know and like the rest of Loan Sloan's adventures. Because it is continuation of (or an end to?) Loan Sloan adventures – taking place ten years after his more famous and recently reissued by Titan “travels”.The story itself is CRAZY – which is in keeping with the rest of Loan Sloan story. It has allegorical, surrealist and ‘meta’-aspects (as Sloan makes love to “Legend” - wait for it - of himself…), and is as far removed from traditional linear narrative as can possibly be imagined. Brits call this "bonkers".Like poetry, not all of it makes sense per se, but still kind of belongs. The artwork is CRAZY – stylistically similar to the rest of Loan Sloan, except reflected through the 1980’s sensibility with some exuberant touches like spray-paint or airbrush splatters, with colors that blend beyond primaries into color-fields that are still as vibrant and psychedelic as anything from 1970’s.This book is in English, printed by Metal Hurlant publishing in Spain in the year 2000. All text in the bubbles still has this characterful hand-written font, not the ubiquitous "standardized" font that all the new "Titan Comics" 'Loan Sloan' re-issues get.Overall, it is a polarizing work, no doubt. It also is not the best in the series.Very idiosyncratic, and certainly not for everyone. But the readers of Loan Sloan will enjoy it.Cheers.

Lone Sloane Will Change Your Life
Lone Sloane is one of the most mind bending things I have ever read. Without English translations of the work between 'Delirious' and 'Chaos' the story seems disjointed. That is par for the course with Driullet however, and you should expect to feel uncomfortable and unfamiliar with what you are seeing and reading.

Not quite as good as the 70s stuff
You can tell Druillet has been using the newer technological tools, and some of the images look like they've been run thru some of Photoshop's simpler (older) filters. Also, in the old days he would have lettered the front cover and made it a work of art, the title text just looks lazy.I still liked it, as Lone Sloane is a top anti-hero and Druillet's writing is amazing, just don't expect something as good as Delirius.

Delerious from Oz
This is a great collectors hard cover edition with superb drawings with lots of detail and futuristic scenes. The story line is completely unintelligible and non coherent but you buy this one for the drawings.Chaos is also a apt description of the script but Lone Sloane lives which has to be good news.A great publication for insomniacs-but keep it away from the children and your mother in law as the adult content will confirm her worst -or best-perceptions about youMore please.Vive Sloane!!!!

Not his best, unfortunately.
I love Druillet's art, but the story here doesn't make much sense unless you already know the characters, so I can't really recommend it.

this is art
And I mean it. It may not be the book that you just can't stop reading due to the plot but it is the book that you will spend 5, 10 or even minutes by just looking at the art and the details and the colors and the figures and... Druillet's art is superb and the size of the book is an advantage. Buy it now!
