Terrible Pen
I do not like this pen at all. I am totally new to calligraphy, but all pens cannot be like this one. It took hours before the ink started to flow and when it finally did, it was not consistent and leaves blank spots. I changed the nibs hoping it was just a fluke but they are all they same. Its a cheap set for a reason. The quality is terrible.

Good starter if unsure
I purchased a more larger kit with additional color and larger tips. I ended up wearing out the most common tip size and black inks. Got this one and it had everything i needed that i only use in the larger kit.

Perfect companion when using the book Calligraphy for Dummies.Pen is light weight and comes with all the type of knibs that the book suggest you use in the chapters. The pen does skip and the quality of the materilal is what you would expect for the price.It might also help you to decide what knib you will choose when you are ready to buy your Pilot Urushi or Montblanc
