[2021 Newest] PoE Security Camera System,SAFEVANT 8 Channel IP NVR Systems with 2TB HDD Outdoor Indoor Home Surveillance 8 Cameras with Night Vision Motion Detection

Here is my take on this camera system. The hardware seems good. It was easy to setup and get configured on my network. I am able to view the cameras from my laptop and phone with no problem. My issue is that the software doesn't seem to work very well. I understand that I purchased a system that was significantly cheaper and I should have had lower expectations. I can't get alerts to work on the phone app. I can't even get email notifications to work. I emailed their customer service and while they were quick to respond the guide they sent me did not work to allow me to enable email alerts. The only way I can get to video recordings is to login to the main system via Internet Explorer and look right as the main unit. I tried to download a video from there and it failed and work not work. Overall I will be seeking a refund for this system and purchasing another system if I can.

For the price its a great system. Picture quality is good, not great, the night vision has a good reach and is pretty clear. I had a problem with a couple of the cameras and cables. Contacted customer support and spoke with melody, who was excellent help. Got all the cameras working, had one bad Ethernet cable but they are sending a new one. So far I'm very happy with my purchase and the support has been excellent. The system is really easy to navigate. Its my first system and I can navigate it like a pro.

The cameras went up easy, and positioning them was real easy and quick with a second person watching the monitor. The view from each camera is crystal clear. Night vision is pretty good, but is a lot better if you have nice security lighting with motion sensors on them. Going back to recorded spots on the hard drive takes a little patience, but once you get used to the quirks is pretty easy.

Customer service rep Melody was very nice and helpful, even FaceTimed with us to walk us through installation. Very pleased with product and recommend it.

I have had this system for over 8 months now without any issues. But I recently ran into a network problem that was my own fault. Contacted Safevant and Melody was able to talk me through it. Problem solved within 24 hours. Also just a side note. If you do go with a POE system, learn how to make your own ethernet cables. Its super easy with an EZ-RJ45 crimper. Then you can run the exact length you need. The supplied wires are long. But sometimes not long enough.

Purchased a 1080 system with 7 cameras and finally had some cool weather to install the hardwired system throughout my attic. Was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the camera images and simplicity of the installation .Straight forward and the quick set network instructions were easy to follow.

The system has been great, I only had an issue with 1 camera after a month, but I sent an email to tech support, they called me back and did some steps to determine that it was in fact the camera, and are in the process of sending me a new camera.

I recently installed the surveillance cameras and called for help on the settings to the number provided and I am very satisfied with the customer service and how the cameras work.
