In 19th Century Java, a brutal massacre and the murder of Sultan Hamza by Captain Van Trach and his Dutch soldiers force Arana, Jamar and Suwo - the sultan s brother and infant sons - to flee the country, bringing them halfway around the world to the American Wild West. After working the railroads and learning the cowboy way of life, Arana tells the boys it s time to return to their homeland and avenge their father s death. Back on Indonesian soil, the hunt for their father s killer begins. Along the way, they meet some villagers including Kiona, the rebellious and beautiful headman s daughter who Suwo falls for, and soon find out that the treacherous Van Trach still rules the area. Their presence puts the village in danger, quickly turning their quest for revenge into a fight for freedom. With the odds stacked against them, Arana, Jamar and Suwo use the skills they learned from the wilds of America to face Van Trach and his army in a showdown for justice.

You have to get this movie on Blu-ray. Because the DVDS ARE DEFECTIVE..
Yes this a great movie..except that DVD DISC..kept stopping DURING THE MOVIE..IN FACT I FIRST PURCHASED THIS MOVIE FROMBIG LOOTS..AND IT WOULD STOP ABOUT 20 MINUTES IT THE MOVIE..SO I CHECKED THE DISC FOR ANY DEFECTS..AND FOUND NONE AT ALL SO I CLEANED MY BLU-RAY PLAYER WITH A CLEANING DISC ..AND IT WOULD STILL STOP PLAYING..IN FACT IT GOT worse..so I returned it to big loots...and purchased a new one for HERE ON AMAZON...AND IT DID THE SAME THING AT THE SAME SPOT..SO. I HAD TO RETURN IT TO AMAZON ..AND GOT SOMETHING ELSE..SO MY ADVICE WOULD BE TO NOT GET THE DVD..BUT TRY AND GET IT ON BLU-RAY..AND YOU MIGHT NEED A ALL REGION BLU-RAY PLAYER...BUT IT SEEMS TO BE A GOOD MOVIE..HOPE THIS HELPS YOU GUYS OUT THERE..👍👍👍👍

Cinematography and story telling are tops
Indonesian cinema has a problem with being a bit blown out, or weird acting. But honestly this was great there is obvious Hollywood story telling and techniques. But really highlights an under represented culture in cinema.

I know this is fiction, but the brutal realities of colonialism are pretty true to history. I'm a fan of Yoshi and I'm happy to see that an Indonesian film is making the rounds.

Imagine an Asian Western but with no common sense
It started off bad and only got worse. Two brothers who haven't a 100 in IQ between them fight their way through Indonesia. Every move they make is a disaster with no forethought. Who knew that the M 79 grenade launcher was invented in the 1800's! Just a plain bad foreign film that used early Hollywood as its guide.
