The WATERDROP (XWF) WD-F48 WATER FILTERS  3-pack arrived in a timely manner, individually wrapped in plastic and  packed in a brown cardboard box.  Each of the three water filters is true to size and offers good filtration for the money.   Online information gives the filtration capabilities.The filters are cylindrical with a turning handle at one end and two projecting wedges at the other.  They measure 2.25 inches in diameter by 6.13 inches. These filters are exact replacements for factory branded filters.  Instructions are located online and in the refrigerator manual.  The degree of filtration required is dictated by the water source.  This filter is an intermediate grade and useful where there are minimal pesticides and industrial chemicals. This is a good value for someone who needs an intermediate capability filter for a larger GE refrigerator.Enjoy!Highly Recommended.

Yes, these filters can replace XWFE filters (with a little work).First, I've seen people write about how the holes have slightly different shapes rounded vs moon shaped, that does not matter and it's not why the filter is showing an error code and not working. If this filter is the right size and clicks in then it will work.These filters lack an RFID tag that can be found on XWFE filters. If you use a hair dryer and carefully remove the RFID tag from your XWFE filter, you can tape that sticker to your fridge where it would normally sit and bam, no more error code, these filters will work for you. Go slow with the hair dryer he careful not to rip the sticker.Your filter light will still show a red light because it's reading the RFID tag from a used filter. Ignore that filter light and change the filter after 6 months or once you notice the water pressure starting to decrease.Last step, enjoy saving $100/year on overpriced GE filters.
