Effective and unobtrusive!
We have a 9 month old who loves to get into and open everything. In our quest to baby-proof our lower cabinets I was looking for something a little less clunky and less noticeable than the typical giant child locking devices out there. We also just remodeled and didn't want to be drilling temporary locks into our new cabinets. We were just about to settle for using zip-ties when I stumbled across these....essentially the zip-tie idea but with a buckle you can undo and refasten instead of replacing every time lile we were going to have to do. They work great, are easy for us to get open, keeps our daughter out, and are far sleeker than the alternatives. Definitely happy and will be buying more!

Worked for me!
I moved into an apartment with original cabinets, and these are the only cabinet locks that require no adhesive or hardware that I could find to fit! They keep my cat out. They were easy to install and easy to use multiple times a day. My only issue was that two of the cover caps were broken off at the hinge. But I realized, why do they need to be attached at the hinge to work? Answer: they don’t. I installed per instructions and snapped the cover on just fine with no hinge. Could you tell from the photo? I doubt it! Just be sure not to install too tightly or you will struggle to open and reclose. Try it a little loose first. Open and close before cutting excess and closing cap. Then decide if you want to tighten more. That’s my advice.

Perfect solution for my Sub Zero fridge!
I love this adjustable locking closure and had searched far and wide for a solution to locking the doors on my Sub Zero fridge. My son has been able to open them since he was 18 months old and has tried to climb inside which almost gave me a heart attack to witness. Then, I found these babies! This was easy to adjust (similar to a zip tie) and you just leave it on all the time. Since the buckle is hard to undo, I slip the top off one of the straps and it’s very easy to open my fridge and resecure. I included pics in my review to illustrate how I put the straps on and take them off. This is a great, economical child safe solution to hazardous refrigerator or cabinet doors. Buy them!

Careful Install Required for Non-Removable Product
These are good, inexpensive cabinet locks that are OK to use to keep our 1 year old out. The build quality is not spectacular or very well looking since they are just some zip ties with a locking buckle that is not that comfortable and certainly not a joy to touch or use. We originally ordered two sets, then needed to order more since we over-tightened one buckle, which made it impossible to attach without a lot of effort. Since these are useless once you cut them, installation to the right dimension and getting them to feel right is important. I would definitely start looser and use it for a bit before adjusting. The end result will have the cabinets with a bit of slack on them when pulled and will mean one door needs to be opened slightly to get the buckles to align. The caps that cover the cut ends of the zip tie broke off on two of the clasps shortly after use. Given that cutting the zip tie with an X-Acto was tedious, I'm suprised the caps broke... Since the shipping was almost 1/3 the cost of the product, we're just going on with it until there's something better.

Great for now
For now, these have done the trick - easy to install and effective. They're also the only thing I've found that will work with our cabinet doors. Just know that they aren't THAT strong - an adult can easily pop the buckle, so I'm not sure they'll remain a great solution once my son is bigger.

Good item with even better customer service
I have purchased these cabinet child locks before, and placed a repeat order as my busy toddler grandchild gets into more and more investigations of things that are off limits. My order came in quickly, but I was dismayed to see hat instead of four complete sets, I received three and a half sets - I was missing one piece. I contacted the seller through Amazon, and they quickly refunded my entire purchase so I could place a replacement order, thus in effect giving me three sets for free. I am very happy with this easy to use and effective child cabinet lock, and even more pleased with the company customer service. I will be recommending these to all of my friends with similar needs.

It keeps the cabinet shut
I do not have toddlers. I have 2 cats that have learned that if they hook their claws into the edge of cabinet doors, they can get them open. I use magnetic clasps on all the doors that close flush with the cabinet, but I have a set of under the sink cabinet doors that do not. That's where I store chemicals, cleaners, and there's a good size hole to the crawlspace (I know, that needs to be fixed.. but one thing at a time). I've been keeping it zip tied for a year. I needed better accessibility than cutting off a zip tie, putting on a new one every time I needed something from under the sink. The handles are set fairly far apart.. about 7 inches. Regular toddler locks wouldn't fit. THESE WORK PERFECTLY. They're tight enough to keep the doors closed so the cats can't get through, and it's easy enough to unclip, get what I want, and clip back. Darn spectacular for what I wanted. I could see this having lots of uses. I only needed one set but it came in a pack of 4, so I've put the other 3 sets with my box of zip ties. I cannot stress enough, these were PERFECT for what I needed. That said, cats do not have opposable thumbs, however ingenious they are, so I can't say as to the ability to keep toddlers / small children out. Cats, dogs, possibly raccoons, yes.

Fancy Zip Ties that don't hold up
Since the initial review we've replaced all of these. After very light use our 1 yo could simply pull hard enough to open the cabinet. Their holding power simply didn't hold up after any real use. Initial review: It's not as clear from the photos but these are large zip ties with a clasp on the end. They're easy to install if you have good scissors or angle cutting pliers. You zip tie them onto the handles and clip the excess length off. They come with a cap to cover the cut plastic to avoid exposing sharp edges. What worked well was to install them still clasped, loop one side around one handle and leave it somewhat loose, loop the other side around the other handle loosely and then pull both right together to get an even fit. As zip ties are awesome so are these. Once installed they are on very tight and seem to clasp together strongly. They are also easy to open, pinch the clasp while pulling on one of the doors and you're in. So why four stars? When you go to close the door you just opened you end up having to open both doors a little bit in order to have enough clearance to re-clasp them. It takes a little coordination and thought to do. This is just a part of how this design works. Other designs for similar locks can more easily be secured with the doors both still closed.
