As described. Reasonable price.
Works as described. One question no answered in the manual is whether the housing GND has to be connected separately or whether the 2cables GND is sufficient. Electrically the earth gnds and casing are tunneled it seems.

Seller VERY difficult to deal with
I have used this product before and know it is a good product. However, this unit was defective upon receipt and the seller is extremely difficult to deal with. Their "customer service" cannot speak understandable english and is impossible to communicate with. In the end, they want me to return the item to me at my expense, but I am unsure as to when or even if I will get a refund. Almost seems like a scam operation.

Great Inverter!
This is a great inverter. The soft start feature is both a blessing and a hinderance. For some things the soft start works great, able to ramp up the power until the device is at full speed. I was able to power several skill saws and it even tried and slowly started up a 10" miter saw until it was at full power which was over it's rating and kicked out. Tried it on a 6" jointer which is simply would not start. I tried a cheaper 1500W Chinese brand (not sure of brand) without the soft start feature and it would not spin up the skill saws, just tripped out overload. Same with the 10" miter saw, however, the cheap Chinese inverter was able to run the 6" shaper, so soft start was hit and miss for those type of tools. As for powering just about everything else I threw at it, GREAT! I was able to get it up to just under it's 1200W rating and ran the load for over 3 hours off the LiFePo battery bank, no problems and fans are pretty quiet. It would also run slightly over spec for 5-10 min before kicking in to overload. I also tested it on my home server rack to see the viability of using one as a UPS. My server rack runs just over 500W continuous and the inverter repeatedly switched from line to battery and back without a single hiccup on any of the equipment. Even was able to test the transfer feature at full load and it worked near flawlessly. Only "flaw" was an observable "blink" at the transfer from a 400W grow light array and 100W shop light. Overall, I would highly recommend this inverter for anyone needing something in the 1000W class of inverters even if they don't need the transfer feature.

Replacement for failed unit - Performed well but died prematurely
Purchased this as a replacement for its predecessor model (discontinued) that failed in less than three years of very light use. Reached out to AIMS Tech Support regarding the failed unit and after a week, I have yet to hear anything back from them. Needless to say, I am not overly impressed with their support.I was reluctant to purchase this brand again after my bad experience with the previous unit, but inverters with built-in transfer switches are not common and when the unit was working, it did perform well. Given the premature failure of my old unit, I opted to purchase a third-party extended warranty for this one.I will update this review at a later date, upwards if the unit survives past the warranty, downwards if it does not.

Waiting on support to help now
Bought one of these and it listed about 2 years and burned up. Like could smell it.. then I bought another one thinking mabe I could get 5 to 10 years out of it but it just quite last week.. going to take the top off and see if it has an internal fuses blown. I hope so . This one Is 18 months old. Guess I need be looking for different brand7.25.2021 updateJust opened inverter and found 4 each 40amp fuses blown, just replaced them and we'll see if it works.Be back shortly 😎**Update 7.26.21**After putting new fuse in inverter I connected the hot wire first and then tried to connect the ground wire but the inverter had a hard ground inside so I kelp trying till i got smoke out of it. Opened it back up and inspected it and it's the same issue I had with my first one that was just like this one . It popped a diode so I guess I'll be purchasing another brand.Dought the company will do anything this long after new.

Keeps going to fault
This inverter had all the specs I was looking for, but it will work a few minutes then go to fault mode and quit working. It is too late to return it so $286 wasted. I have ruled out under/over battery issues and it is not overloaded. It actually will work sometimes as long as ten minutes, then for for no apparent reason starts the high pitched warning sound and the fault light comes on.

Good but any heat causes the fans to come on
Works just fine as a good power inverter. I had an Eaton Bussmann in my last truck but bought this because it was $150 cheaper.Only things I don't like is the power button is tiny and the fan runs even if there is no load on the unit. So if your truck is parked and not plugged in when it's hot it'll steadily drain the battery slowly
