These shelves don’t stick as advertised and indicated. Cleaned surfaces and tried installing in smooth corners

Does not work as advertised!!! Did not last one day with less then 2lb of products. DO NOT BUY!

While these shelves seem to make perfect sense and install easily and look good, they do not stay on the wall! I tried them in 2 different bathrooms with 2 different surfaces, and they did not work in either location. They stay on the wall for brief periods of time, and then come tumbling down. Save your money and do not purchase!

After following the instructions, neither of the two shelves stayed for more than 10 seconds.

I thought I had found my solution. The videos and testimonials looked great. I finally got these home (2 Sets). One set for the main bath (Tile) and one for the Master (Bath fitters wall). The one for the tile did not even stick for 2 seconds. Ow well. That one was my fault. Wrong material.Now to the second set. I pushed it up against the wall, made sure it was pointed properly so that the curve pointed directly to the corner of the tub. It worked. I pushed on it, it did not move. Great. I took some products from the crappy solution that I had originally and started putting them on the shelf. Stayed great. Seemed stable.Later that night, I hear a CRASH. Sure enough, the tray had failed. So, I put everything back to the previous shelf. the next day, I tried again. Thinking I did something wrong, I reviewed ALL of the paperwork that came with the product. Ok, I have this right. Maybe I messed up. Lets try again. I set them up just like I did. Pushed a little harder this time. Still held. Great. Put the products back on the new shelf and chalked it up to my error.Later that night, CRASH. What I realized is that there is not LOCKING mechanism on these devices. Eventually, once you put some weight on these, they will fall as the hing underneath weakens. STAY AWAY until the 2.0 version with some way to lock the handle after you put it on the wall.

Disappointed that these shelves do not work in the shower. I wanted to return them originally, but decided to try them as a corner shelf in the bedroom. It was a hit and miss. One would stay and the other one wouldn’t. I was afraid to put things on it. I also discovered that the silicone leaves a mark on white walls.
