It fits perfectly and my MacBook feels sturdy on it. I had one for a few years and the rubber stops on the back ended up coming off really glad to see I could purchase it again on Amazon.

This Elago L3 stand is a fantastic product: it is strong, light, attractive, and functional. The aluminum construction helps to transfer heat away from the laptop, allowing it to run at a cooler temperature. With a silver color that matches the silver used by Apple, this stand is the perfect companion for the MacBook Air and MacBook Pro. I was torn between a few different stands for my r-MacBook Pro, but I am glad that I decided to go with this Elago L3 over others. I highly recommend this product!------------------------------------------------WHY I WANTED A STAND[While this stand can be used with many computers, my specific usage is with two MacBook Pros and since my review discusses my own needs & preferences, some of it will pertain specifically to usage with the MacBook Pro.]If you own a MacBook Pro, then you are likely aware that they do tend to operate on the hotter side. While not normally a functional concern, sitting a MacBook Pro on an insulated surface (like a leather couch) could result in accelerated wear from abnormally high temperatures. Additionally, the palm rest of the MacBook Pro can get almost uncomfortably hot when under a sustained & intense processor load. So I wanted a stand that, 1) contributes to reducing heat, and 2) I can set both on a hard surface and on a couch. This Elago L3 stand does both very well.------------------------------------------------DESCRIPTIONThe Elago L3 is a one-piece aluminum stand that is designed to elevate a laptop computer. At only about 18 ounces, this stand is both strong and lightweight. While it will work with many different laptops, it is often marketed as a product for Apple’s MacBook Pro or MacBook Air, and the silver L3 stand uses the same color, matte, and texture used on the current MacBook models (it is also available in a few other colors.) The stand itself is about 7.25 inches wide, 10 inches in depth, and at the tallest point the height is about 3 inches tall (meaning that the computer screen itself will usually be elevated in height an additional 3 or more inches, depending on how deep the computer is.) The L3 is manufactured in South Korea.The points of the stand that make contact with the surface the L3 is placed on, and the surface that contacts the laptop, are both lined with a black no-slip, no-scratch silicone material. The edges on the stand have been slightly rounded so that they are not sharp.The rear of the stand has two cutouts for cables. This feature not only looks neater when used, but it can also help avoid accidental snagging of the cords (which can cause damage to the cords.) As another Reviewer noted, these cutouts are on the small side, and so larger cables may not work with them. The larger of the two cutouts is only about 1 inch by .5 inch.------------------------------------------------TEMPERATURE BENEFITSAluminum is a very effective material for heat transfer & dissipation. This stand operates as a giant heat sink, pulling the heat away from the bottom of the computer and moving it to the base of the stand where there is improved airflow, which then helps the heat more rapidly dissipate. I find my MacBook Pro Retina runs MUCH COOLER when sitting on this stand than on other surfaces. Given the palm rest of the MacBook Pro can get rather hot when the CPU is being heavily utilized, this stand makes a big difference in preventing the palm rest from becoming uncomfortably hot.------------------------------------------------MY OBSERVATIONS WITH USAGEI enjoy using this product every single day. I really like the angle & amount this stand elevates. It’s tall enough to allow excellent airflow but is not so tall that the stand is inherently unstable or awkward. I find typing is comfortable as is the viewing angle.The single-piece design is great because it minimizes form-factor, adds durability, saves weight, and improves stability. This stand sits sturdy whether I put it on my couch or on my table. It’s solid, it is not prone to rocking, and the non-slip material prevents the stand from sliding around and prevents the computer from sliding off of the stand.Because the material used is aluminum, this stand CAN have the potential to scratch other surfaces, especially surfaces which are softer. A careful eye can minimize this, however. When placing a laptop on or removing it from the stand, doing so gently to avoid the computer banging or rubbing against the stand will avoid scratching.While I am not sure how well this stand will work with extra-large laptops (over 15.5 inch screen), I have used this stand with a 15 inch MacBook Pro, a 13 inch MacBook Pro, and a 15 inch MacBook Pro Retina. All of those sizes work great with the L3.------------------------------------------------CONCLUSIONOverall, I am really glad I purchased the Elago L3 over the other stands I was considering (most of which were more expensive.) I am impressed by the performance, style, and fit & finish of the Elago L3, and I could not ask for more. This stand looks great and functions well. I highly recommend it.

After purchasing the Rain Design mStand (which my partner and I love), we noticed that it was perfect with a supplemental keyboard and trackpad/mouse but challenging to use with just the laptop keyboard. We decided we also wanted an additional stand (specifically for my partner’s work) that we could use for more mobile purposes. We were looking for ample elevation that still allowed for us to type on the laptop keyboard without hurting our wrists. Because we both do a lot of remote work, it was important for us to find a sturdy, reliable stand with solid aesthetics and functionality — we decided to invest in the elago L3 stand. Once we received the product, we were able to use it for a week before writing this review.Pros:- Effective heat transfer from the aluminum stand (it’s not as great as the Rain Design mStand but it still works well)- Durable material (the aluminum seems well built and made to last a considerable amount of time)- Good height and angle (it provides just enough elevation while allowing the user to comfortably type on the laptop keyboard -- though not exactly at eye level as advertised)- Minimal, attractive design (complementary to Apple products)- Stays in place (the rubber on the stand does its job and does not slip/slide)Cons:- The lowercase i design in the back for cable management seems a tad inefficient (it works but it could be better)- Higher cost than similar standsCustomer service:Once we came across the elago L3 stand, we decided to give it a shot. Unfortunately, the first one we received was defective and reflected poor quality in manufacturing. We were less than pleased and reached out to customer service. Thankfully, the customer service representatives were very responsive and fantastic at helping us resolve our initial issue. They immediately issued another stand that was indeed higher quality and without the problems we had from the first stand.Final thoughts:Overall, although this stand is a slightly higher investment than comparable stands with similar specs on Amazon, it was worth it! My partner now takes the stand everywhere — for office work, remote work, personal work, and leisure. There are times where I will prefer to use the elago L3 stand over the Rain Design mStand for the reason that I can comfortably use the laptop keyboard instead of relying on supplemental devices. Above all else, the customer service was wonderful and a pleasure to cooperate with — something that not all brands have.As mentioned before, this is a great product — great design, function, and customer service! We’re glad we decided to go with this stand and put it to good use.

The finish isn't perfect, but apart from that it's a good stand.

I found dusty when I opened the package, which got delivered as per projected time line. The stand is solid and good but just got doubt if it's used looking at the dust however after cleaning it looks good. It's almost double the cost compared to it's US cost however it's understandable. It's just a single solid metal piece which makes it strong and reliable if you are fine with the height it offer. Overall buy it if you care for the beauty of the desk and off course it's a strong stand.

This product give rashes to lower palm. My palm started paining when I use this product. So, I stopped using it. Don't buy it.

Ergonomic. But a bit over priced.
