A cross between Big Skinny's high-capacity Monte Cougar wallet and its standard compact tri-fold wallet, the all-purpose Trixie tri-fold wallet holds 25 to 30 plastic cards and has two deep, separated billfold sections for your cash. The zippered compartment on the back is roomy enough for a large handful of change, while the magnetic closure keeps the whole wallet securely shut. It also features 10 card pockets (including two hidden) and an ID pocket with a clear plastic window for easy access to your driver's license or work badge. The extra-wide pockets are lined with a rubbery coating to prevent cards from slipping out. Designed with rounded corners for comfort, it's constructed of a lightweight, water resistant nylon microfiber material that is 5 to 7 times thinner and lighter than leather. It's machine washable for easy care and it dries out in about 20 minutes. The Trixie wallet measures 5 x 4 Inch (and 1.1 mm thin when empty). The first Big Skinny wallet was designed by Kiril Stefan Alexandrov (the company's founder) because he loathed sitting on a thick, heavy leather wallet. Since creating the original Sport Wallet in 2005 using an advanced nylon micro-fiber material (5 to 7 times thinner than leather), Big Skinny has added dozens of slim wallet styles for men and women with more on the way.

Definite space saver for a small purse
While this wallet is not going to win any beauty contests, it really has worked great for my purse. It has about 7 spots for cards where the edges show & you can tell what card it is, 1 clear view for a driver's license, & 3 more deeper pockets where you can put miscellaneous cards or small flat items. Two sections for bills; just the right size with no wasted space. The fabric is thin & seems quite durable. I thought it was a bit pricey, but since it does fit the bill :) , this is something I'll have a long time so I can live with it. Also I like that the zippered change compartment is on the outside of the wallet so you can get right to it. And that compartment has an extra fold in it, so it expands if you tend to hold a chunk of change.

Wouldn't carry any other wallet
I have used Big Skinny wallets for many years, but usually get the ladies' zippered one and replaced only because I got tired of the color, not that they wore out. As an alternative (and wanting a very different color), I bought the Big Skinny Women's Trixie TriFold Wallet (in fuchsia/hot pink). I am equally happy with this, even though it is not zippered. It does have a small zippered compartment on the outside, which is a separate thing. For the moment I was using a designer leather wallet (zippered) and a gorgeous thing. However, the Big Skinny holds all that the larger looking leather one did PLUS it is lighter completely filled than the leather wallet is all by itself.I usually carry a large tote handbag (usually left open by design or forgetfulness) and the Big Skinny wallet slides easily into one of the inner zipped pockets within the tote so that I can leave the tote open without fear of my wallet falling out or being (heaven forbid) grabbed the nefarious. The interior of the tri-fold is well thought out with slots for all my credit cards and paper paraphernalia as well with a plastic slot for my driver's license. The only negative I have is that it is not made in a metallic silver or gold.I don't usually go on this long, but this wallet just has so many pluses that I feel I need to mention.

Great travel wallet
I recently took this abroad and really liked it a lot. I love the light weight and that it takes up little room (my travel purse is always filled to capacity and really heavy). I like the two bill compartments---and that one of them is extra deep---so I can have US currency in one and wider foreign currency in another. And that I can wipe it clean if I'm balancing the wallet and a drink and spill something on it. I like that you open to your driver's license. The only down side is that it is not RFID protected. Fortunately, the compartment behind one of the card sections is big enough to hold a couple of credit cards that are in one of those RIFD protecting slip cases.

Brilliant design...Horrible smell!
I had been searching for a lightweight compact wallet to take on a trip to Italy. I was very excited when I found this wallet. The design is brilliant! It has 2 bill compartments which will accommodate the larger euro bills, 8 credit card slots and an ample zippered coin pocket on the back. All in a lightweight, washable fabric. Just what I wanted, except for the smell. The wallet came with an awful, strong, toxic chemical smell! It was overpowering! As I really liked the wallet I decided to try and rid it of it's odor. First I aired it by an open window for 2 days, no change. Then I washed it with dish washing liquid, slight change. Then I filled every pocket with baking soda and aired by an open window for 3 days, an improvement but the smell is still there. Then I wiped it down with vinegar and let it dry by an open window, better but there is still a slight smell. I did the vinegar again and will let it sit by the window for a few days. Luckily, I still have a week before I leave, so I am hoping that the smell will be gone by then.I really like this wallet but I will not order one again...not unless Big Skinny manufacturers their wallets without the poisonous smell. I gave it 3 stars because of the design, it would have been 5 if it wasn't for the smell.

i don't think wallets should be marketed for a particular gender if it's not significantly feminine or masculine
i hate to admit this but this wallet was actually for my Hubby. i thought to myself it really didn't LOOK like a feminine wallet and he really was having problems with finding a wallet with enough storage space (why are men's wallets so inefficient?) so i bought him this to see whether he'd like it. he never asked if it was a "female" wallet and since Big Skinny produces wallets marketed for both genders, i didn't see the harm in disclosing it was advertised as a female wallet if he liked it so its a win-win situation as far as i was concerned. i mean, functionality should be the priority right?well, since then he's never complained of not having enough space in his new wallet and he seems pleased with it so no harm, no foul :)

The best part is there are 2 sections for bills
Not much thinner than wallets used to be before they started quilting & padding them for no reason. The best part is there are 2 sections for bills. The back one is deeper, nice for receipts and the front one is not much deeper than a US bill. Could even be shallower. It's wide enough you don't have to fight to get the bills in.I can't imagine it holding 25-30 cards. I have only 10 and it's full enough for my liking. Everyday cards and license in the right side and lesser used like insurance cards double stacked on the left side.

utilitarian and small purse people rejoice! haha!
I love carrying small purses, but the problem is that they obviously don't hold much. I got this wallet in black, and while it's not the most flashy, I love how much room it cleared up in my dakine crossbody bag. Two pockets for holding bills and receipts is genius. You normally don't see that in a wallet this size. The material has an interesting feel to it. Its not quite ripstop nylon feel and not quite rubbery. Its not bad, just a bit unusual. It also doesn't seem to hold its shape with internal materials that, if bent, won't bend back. Thats a plus. I don't want the free corners of this wallet getting flappy looking on me.I also got the larger checkbook size wallet (not the envelope looking one). This one will go very well with the few larger bags I have. The gray and white grid pattern made that wallet look a lot less utilitarian! My one and only gripe is that the material needs some time to air out. Just set it aside for a few days or get over it and don't go sniffing your wallet!

Love these wallets!
This is the 3rd Big Skinny gWallet I have owned. Not because I needed to get a new one, but because I have 3 different styles! They take up no space and carry everything I need.

great wallet! lightweight and holds everything...
I had a different style big skinny wallet and I loved it. But I like this one even better - it has plenty of room for everything, and the bill section is bigger - you can't fit...

Not as advertised.
Disappointed. Did not hold advertised number of cards AT ALL. Is lightweight and compact.

I looked high and low for a wallet that worked for me. When I discovered the Big Skinny I knew my search was over. I've been using it for about 2 years now and still love it.

Great wallet. Thin, holds plenty of credit cards, license, bills, and coins. Magnet closure works well.
