This item feels like a dollar store item. It has no other features besides the off button. While I love the concept, this is just crap. If you want to look at least half way decent, you're better off taking a hot shower, use a real hair straighter and hair dryer and using some product.

Purchased this straightening comb for my husband to use with his beard.PROS:- Device is as pictured, same color scheme and all- It's light weight, and easy to use- Small size makes for easy storage- Good price point for a flat iron- If you wish to take off the little "comb" part of the flat iron it just pops off and on easily as you wishCONS:- No heat setting controls- Does not heat up enough for rough facial hair- Due to lack of heat the device is not able to straighten a beardAll in all I would not suggest this product for anything more than getting rid of your kids cow-lick in the morning (which it does conveniently heat up enough for).

I've been searching for a beard straightener and I'm afraid I shall have to continue that search. This just doesn't work, at least on my beard. I appreciate it doesn't get hot enough to burn my face like other hair products that weren't designed for beards, but at the same time it doesn't get hot enough, fast enough. One pass of the beard and this seems to lose all it's heat, then it takes a good 10 to 20 seconds to get that heat built up again. That's not acceptable in my opinion. Plus it's maximum temp isn't enough to straighten my hair anyway.

This is a simple, but effective unit. It heats up quickly, is easy to use, and is relatively inexpensive. It helps straighten out curly areas and to style things up in some problem areas. It is a good one-and-a-half trick pony; but it does those things fairly well. It is much more gentle than a hair iron, but isn't as aggressive a straightener either. Also, its really not a replacement for a good round brush and variable hair drier; but it's a good tool to have in the grooming toolbox. I like it anyways, and after using it for several months can give it a good recommendation.

This did not get very warm and definitely did not smooth the hair. If it was suppose to dry it there is no way it could dry anything. We tried it multiple times on my husband's beard and it kept getting stuck and pulling his hair so I tried it on my hair which is very short and it pulled a chunk of hair out.

So, this device is great in concept - but is quite underwhelming. So in demos you notice fellas with well oiled beards that are groomed, ideal scenario but this is less effective than my comb and some oil - first thing to note is the tines on the comb are to short - they hardly get any grab. There’s also no tines on the inner bars and it takes forever to get hot. I’m out the door before this product even becomes partly practical

The "comb" portion of this product is not like any comb or brush I have ever seen in my life. It allows the heating element to come so uncomfortably close - easily burning you and your beard in the process, regardless of the settings used.Just not a good product.

The brush does not get hot enough to straighten my hair. I bought this after reading reviews from other users and took a chance.Though it seems like it mimics hair straighteners technology it would be great if i could make it slightly warmer.Seems to be more suited for beards or small sections of hair but even then time consuming.
