My late father had a hand drill like this from the 1950s, all metal parts of course that has been so useful over all these years. Something has finally gone in the gear mechanism and it was really missed! So happy to find something very similar as I didn't think I would be able to!This drill works in exactly the same way. It has plastic parts but the bits that matter, gears, chuck etc appear to be robust and well made. It was very simple to set up and made light work of the first task.I needed bigger drill bits for part of the job and it was no problem using them with this drill.Definitely recommend this product for quick, lightweight jobs. Came next day delivery, very happy so far.

Good piece of kit for the price

Sturdy little piece of kit. It's simple if you take the time to use it properly it does what you want it to. I couldn't be happier with the drill.

The capacity could be bigger, and i use it to drill holes on the back of my bed board head

I ordered this as I needed to drill holes in my sheet metal in order to saw out the specific places. Well it made it so much easier to drill as I only had a pin vice which took forever, it also comes with really small drill bit to quite large, which was fantastic. All in all a good buy that I intend to have and use for a very long time. Thanks

Bought this for occasional diy use. Haven't used yet but it certainly lokks and feels capable for my odd diy jobs.
