Best sharp cheese in the Northwest.

Obviously Cougar Gold is a 5-Star worthy cheese, so to clarify I’m leaving this review as a love letter to the customer service department as well. My last tin of cheese came slightly dented on the the seam (these things are bound to happen) and customer service responded quickly were nice enough to replace the product.10/10 great cheese great people

My family is already asking me to order again! It was only taking up space in the fridge for 2 days! Great to snack on with crackers and pepperoni but equally delicious on its own!

I'm a semi-cheese snob, and I have my own reasons for being a snob about sneering at Washington State University.But seriously: this is the best cheddar cheese on the planet; nay, the galaxy.You might be thinking, "what? it's freaking cheddar! Who cares!" Yeah, it's not gruyere or some goat thing or whatever.But my god. If everybody knew that this is what cheddar could be like, they'd be all like, "oh, hold my beer while I get some more of this WSU Cougar Gold."Don't put it on crackers. Don't put it on grilled cheese sandwiches.Eat it straight out of the can, and be sitting down when you do, because you're going to have a mouth orgasm, and you're not going to want to hurt yourself when you flop around in sheer pleasure.-----Yeah, it's pricey. But: how much are you willing to pay for a cheddar mouth orgasm?You know you want this.You know you do.

I have not ordered this for several years but once again it did not disappoint.The taste, the texture and the mouth feel is still amazing to me.One of the BEST cheeses on the market and well worth the price 😋

Cougar Cheese is the best there is, at any price.

This is world class cheddar. I live in a location surrounded by dairies and also not too far from Tillamook, OR, where they produce amazing dairy products, including aged cheddar cheese. Cougar Gold, produced by a Washington State University in my home state is a beautiful, delicious cheddar cheese which I've been eating for decades. However, there is sometimes some price gouging going on. While this site wants me to pay in the neighborhood of $90 for a tin of Cougar Gold, I can get it at my local produce and specialty market for half that amount. This is the only reason I have rated Amazon at 4 stars instead of 5. The greed is wrong.
