The Dirt Lock Car Wash Bucket Insert (White)

Superb piece! Part price right on! On the down side, tight fit on standard 5 gallon bucket (removed rubber feat covers) making removal tough. But ready to get another one for 2nd bucket!

I bought 2 of them and I use them to do my rinseless wash. And they trap the dirt down in the bottom of bucket.

I have used the OG Grit Guards before, and this does a way better job. It can be a little finicky going in the bucket due to the rubber stoppers, but this gives it a great seal to prevent anything from coming back up. Must have for two bucket method or especially one bucket rinseless washing!

I was able to fit this into an orange Home Depot bucket, but it's a really snug fit. Loop some nylon wire ties around the fins so that you have something to pull on to remove it. Otherwise it'll get stuck in the bottom of the bucket.It's a good idea, and gives you an elevated area to rest your sponge a few inches away from the dirt and grime that settles towards the bottom of the wash water. I still wouldn't agitate the water too much as some of the dirt could come upwards.It's a little pricey especially if you use two buckets and decide to get two.

I have 5-gallon buckets that I use for detail washes. I had a simple plastic guard before and it worked okay for grit capture. What it didn't do was stay in place in the bucket between washes. The Detail Guardz has rubber-like tabs (3 of them) for a tight friction fit. Problem solved! One feature of interest is the design has venturi openings that draw contaminated water down under the guard and slow the flow back above the guard which captures a ton more grit and stuff. I noticed a difference on the first wash and I like it. I have some big trucks and they always seem to have stubborn dirt and mud that gets removed during the contact wash. All in all, a nice investment in protecting the clear coat and paint.

I ditched my other dirt strainers after receiving this one.

Solid construction, perfect fit for my 5 gallon bucket.

The only thing I see an issue with is bucket size fitment. I have two white ace hardware buckets that I use, this is very tight fitting in the bottom but its not a huge deal. Filling the bucket with very hot water allowed it to go all the way down to the bottom.One thing I really like over standard grit guards is that this one sits much lower, when doing rinseless washes it really helps when you're only using 2 1/2 gallons of water. I feel by sitting lower it allows me to dunk much easier and get the sponge/mitt wet without worrying that the mitt wasn't fully submerged.

I use it in home depot buckets. Works great, a bit tight but that's fine.

Megaprodukt, absolut kein Vergleich zu den üblichen Billigfabrikaten die im eimer letzten endes nur umherschwimmen. Dieser hier bleibt aufgrund seiner superanpassungsmöglichkeit fest im eimer sitzen und filtert kleinste schmutzpartikel zuverlässig hinaus ohne dass diese wiedet aufgewirbelt werden können. Einzig der preis ist etwas hoch, aber das muss jeder selbst einschätzen können wieviek ihm an seinem wagen liegt. Auf jeden fall eine echte Empfehlung für professionelle Autohandwäsche. Hab mir gleich zwei geholt.
