Better than expected!
After years and years of corded communication, the I corded communication system I had just got old (15 years). I finally broke down and went wireless. My concerns were road noise cancellation and sound (hearing) quality. Skeptically I went with the best deal I could find. Great price. Easy install and after the initial learning curve of figuring out how the workings of the headsets, I'm very happy. Turning the mic off for no road noise is just a push off a button and then another tap to turn on with about 1 or 2 second delay. No biggie. Instal couldn't have been easier. Mic location in relation to mouth is also able to pick up the conversation and the rust noise background is not bad at highway speed. Battery strength use has far exceeded my expectations! The Freecom 4 offered a better package with additional connectivity options. We ride 2up mostly but the cost of this deal was better with the Freecom 4. I don't need any Mesh capabilities so no need to spend more. I can't use the CB function on the internal comm on the bike but I really don't use that as much as I once did. I guess I've moved into the 22nd century!

Speakers are overhyped. Complicated but has nice extra features.
Seems quieter than my old Sena. Also more difficult to figure out. However I haven’t explored all features and fully figure it out yet. That being said, it shouldn’t take this long to figure out. Hopefully I get the hang of it.

Wonderful sound quality.
Seems a little too complicated for old people.

Not worth the money
I bought the set back in February for my boyfriends birthday. We both have multiple motorcycles and helmets so we wanted something we could switch between helmets. At first while on our dirt bikes they worked great except I could hear his exhaust occasionally. We rode 2 up on his goldwing camping one weekend and we couldn’t hardly have a conversation due to the wind noise (both wearing full face helmets) this caused some issues for us as we couldn’t communicate stops and I couldn’t give him directions. I also was looking forward to using mine for music and that worked great at first but anymore it’ll disconnect from my phone on its own, or the volume will go so low that I can’t hear it and I have it turned all the way up on my phone and on the Bluetooth. In the last month everytime I ride I have to remove cardo from my Bluetooth devices then reconnect as a new device and it’s a real pain in the butt. I was also never able to get voice recognition to work on mine. I think we are going to look for other options which totally sucks considering how much was spent on this set and the additional helmet kits purchased.

Voice recognition is a clear failure.
The primary reason I purchased this product was for the voice recognition system. I just returned from a 2,000 mile ride and the voice recognition feature worked less that 15 times while at highway speed wearing a 3/4 helmet with full face shield. I moved the mic several times trying to make the voice recognition work but it was clearly a failure.Sound quality was very good with strong sound.Battery lasted over 8 hours with continuous music broadcast from my phone.I didn't take a call while at highway speed as I doubted the mic would pick up my end of the conversation so I can't speak to the limits of its noise cancelation. The calls I fielded were only while pulling in or out of stops and for this low noise environment it seemed to work adequately.I did not pair the device with other riders or a passenger so I can't speak to its range or efficacy.Installation was time consuming but the youtube video made it easy.Overall, I believe I could have found the same performance without voice recognition at a cheaper price.

Not Recomended for 2018+ Goldwing
I purchased this pair of Bluetooth headsets for my wife and my helmets. We had sold our 2006 Honda Goldwing that was a wired intercom and purchased a new 2018 Goldwing with Bluetooth and no capability for wired headsets.Installation took some time but went well. However, after trying to use this system for several weeks, I cannot recommend this product.I was very surprised to find out that they are not capable of intercom and listening to the Goldwing audio system simultaneously. It’s one or the other. If you are listening to the bike’s audio and want to speak to your passenger, you need to push a button on the side of the device. Once you do that, you can’t switch back to the bike audio.I couldn’t believe that this product can not operate as it should.Since I had installed the products they are not returnable. It works okay for a single rider, but if you need an intercom and bike or GPS audio, look elsewhere.Traded many emails with Cardo customer service, but the best they could do is offer a 35% discount off of list price on their Bold upgraded models. Note that 35% off is about what the actual “street” price, so it’s nothing. After spending about $325 on this junk, the last thing I want to do is spend $425 more for another Cardo product.I am very disappointed in this product.
