So worth it
These were great, made my cake look 10 times better , they were very easy to use as well , just roll your gum paste or fondant with cmc powder out real thin , let it sit for 10 mins , use plastic wrap on top before u cut the letters and voila!! Worked like magic

Great small size letters with sharp detail
These cutters are easy to use and look fantastic. The letters are small but sharp and detailed which is hard to find in letter cutters. The trick is to roll your fondant out thin ( I use a 5 on my pasta roller) and let soft fondant dry up a little before cutting. Smear a little shortening on the cutters and you will get great looking letters.

Cute small letters, easy to use
These are easy to use. Just add a little tylose/ cmc to the fondant. Let it dry a little. Thinly roll it out. Use the blck long strip if needed that comes with it. Put the letter strip u need to use on the fondant and press hard against the plastic mat ur using so as to remove any excess.I just tapped it out about 3-5 times and it came out clean. You can also use a plastic wrap like mentioned in previous comments. The fondant should not be sticky else it will be a mess. Let it dry a bit after rolling. Makes cute and neat alphabets. If you roll it properly there wont be any leftovers in the groovesnof the alphabets and washing is easy.

Love these letters!
I decorate cakes professionally and I needed letter cutters that were simple and not scroll/italic. I have used these multiple times since I received them. I do not have a problem with them and find them easy to use. If you haven not used Tappit style letters, then here are a few tips that you have to know before using them:1. The fondant/gum paste has to be VERY thin. So think that you should be able to see the words of a printed page through the fondant when the fondant is placed on top of the page. Trust me, I was skeptical, but this is very important.2. The letter cutters are connected on a plastic strip. To use, cut strips of fondant approximately the width of the letters. The fondant strip should be placed vertically and the letter cutter will be perpendicular to the fondant. Press down on the cutter. I slide the cutter back and forth to be sure I have a good cut.3. Tap the end of the cutter on the table to release the letter from the cutter. This really works.4. Let the letters dry for a few minutes before trying to place them on the cake. They will be easier to handle and you won't have to worry about the letters changing shapes. These are a great size and I love working with them!

Just what I was looking for
These tapits are the skinny block letters I was looking for. I was a bit weary by the look of the alphabet shown in the description because they look much wider. They are in fact the skinny block letters commonly seen on cakes. They work great if you know how to use them. I am sure most who have issues using these don't roll the fondant out thin enough and or don't mix tylose into the fondant.

Nothing like the picture. Fondant amateurs beware!
I should have listened to the other reviews and not ordered. I bought these thinking like the picture they were individual cutters. My fault for not either reading very closely or not understanding the lingo. Bought them for my daughter's birthday cake, they were so awful and hard to work with I didn't end up having Happy Birthday or her name on her cake. Very disappointed.

Hard to use
I bought these because I had plunger alphabet letters but needed numbers. I thought I’d try these but the fondant sticks and is hard to get out even if you let fondant sit and harden a little. They may work but just didn’t for me. I like my plunger letters better for ease of use.

Great Small Letters
This alphabet set was just what I was looking for. I needed to fit 2 names on the side of a cake on top of each other, and these worked perfectly. They are a little small, but exactly what I needed.
