Vex 20W Electric Insect Killer

Just received this order. Was disappointed on how flimsy it appeared as I opted for the more expensive one. The tray at the bottom was so flimsy it kept falling out just lifting it. I remembered the pictures of it showing a chain to hang it(which was another reason I ordered this one). Unfortunately it wasn't part of the package, whether it was supposed to be in it I don't know. One last thing the electrical cord is so short I actually have to sit it on the floor next to my outlet, which is nice if the flies and Mosquitos decide to stroll around my floor instead of buzz around my head. I will see if it works at all and will update from that point. I know I'm not looking forward to trying to deal with the tray catching the corpses of the ill fated insects. To be continued...

This was nice for about two weeks. Then blew a bulb, no big deal, right? Well I finally got around to ordering bulbs, wow are they expensive, 3 bulbs shipped was about 20 bucks. Then I go to replace them, everything is so cheap it just breaks until you get to the bulb, and even the plastic ends that the bulbs go into snapped apart. By the time I got my replacement bulbs, they were both blown. So now I've replaced all 3 bulbs, that's 5 bulbs blown total and I'm down to one bulb again, so now we're at 6 bulbs blown. Junk. Just junk. I say buy an outdoor one and use it inside, it'd last longer.

Out of the box. the unit appeared it was not working. Because there was smaller insects that were inside the unit. were not being zapped! So giving it a chance to do its job. I just left it powered up. To my surprise! Later on that day the unit started working! I guess the zip grid is to wide for the smaller insects. So the unit hits and miss them! But other than that. The unit appears to be working!

Better than I'd hoped for. Bigger and lighter than I expected. Works very well!UPDATE: Bulb burned out in first week of use. 100% FULL LIFETIME WARRANT is a joke. You can't reach the manufacturer. No address!! Amazon could do a better job with functional warranty info.

First of !! my compliments to the superb customer service, not only are we satisfied; we plan on purchasing additional ones for all rooms. It's warranty, quality and ease of use and affordability; an ideal product to cope (safely) with mosquito problems.Highly recommended !!!

I've had this for a week. I plugged it in immediately as we have an issue with moths and mosquitos. The cord is VERY SHORT, so an extension cord has to be used in most cases. It has not killed one bug. I don't even see bugs going any where near it. I've tried moving it. Still no kill. So far it's useless. I'll update if things change

Very lightweight, feels really cheap, but man does it get the job done. The bulbs seam move lavender vs. blacklight in color, probably get better when the bulb burns out and I get a move florescent bulb to attract them better. it still attracts them, very well.

I do not think it is working as well as some have mentioned. We kill more flies than this zapper does. It is too late to send it back. I do not believe we are doing anything wrong in its usage. If anyone has suggestions I would be open to hearing them.

It came damaged and all dented out of the box.All pieces were falling apart, looked like the product got hit by an elephant.You think the manufacturer may have quality control check! It doesn't even say which country was this product manufactured in...

Not a very good product, I have two different insect killer's in my kitchen and this one does not work very well , The lightbulbs only lasted one month , as you can see in the picture below it's plugged in and the lights are not working B

Just over a month and both bulbs are now dead. Attaching a photo just before they both died. Garbage.

This product was defective. Bulbs burned out withing 6 weeks
