Love and War Participant's Guide: Finding the Marriage You've Dreamed Of

This is awesome!!! Every couple should read this - actually it should be required reading BEFORE you get married too! Because often the hurts start at the very beginning, taking everyone off guard. People don't talk about how hard marriage is. I have several friends who have succumbed to the downward spiral of shame and disillusionment and disappointment that resulted in divorce.My husband and I have found this book so freeing, which has made our marriage rebound for the better. It helps to relieve the pressure we put on ourselves and each other. It's comforting to know that we are not alone in our problems. We were in the midst of some difficult times in our marriage and this has helped to revive our marriage and our connection with each other.We're doing this study with 5 other couples. I will be buying this for several other couples I know!

Not necessary for the book. All the questions are actually contained within the chapters. I found this guide to be unnecessary.

Purchased wrong book

This is an excellent book. I recommend it to every married couple I talk to. It just makes so much sense as to why we fight and where each of us is coming from. In my opinion, this book SHOULD be a pre-requisit for newly weds or those in pre-marital counseling. However, my husband and I have been married for 15 years and it is still very useful for us.

John and Stasi are for real! They tell it like it is and they are spot on with the reality of marriage. I have been married to my husband almost 38 years now and I can tell you they know what they are talking about. This is probably the best book I have read on marriage to date - and I have read ALOT.

I hated this book. We did it in our couples Bible study. It paints a horrible picture of marraige. My husband and I couldn't related to it at all.
