Knitted Dinosaurs: 15 Prehistoric Pals to Knit from Scratch

The book itself is pretty basic and the dinos are very easy to make. The book is in great condition and I received the book super early and I am excited to make the dinos and take them up a notch!

This is a good book of knitted dinosaurs, not small and not too large. It is nice to fond a good selection of knitted animals. And, with some creative planning one can knit the pieces which the pattern calls for flannel.

I purchased this book to make dinosaurs for my children and for charity. My kids are young, all 6 and younger, and they love this book. They love looking at the different pictures, and they cannot wait for me to make the dinosaurs. I will update on the ease of the patterns once I actually make a few, but per the pattern, these are fairly good sized dinosaurs, the triceratops in particular says it is 18 inches long. I look forward to making these. Too many times I have bought craft books and then only liked one or two of the projects. Not with this book!! All of them are very cute and my kids are super excited to get them, they cannot decide which one should be my first project.

I ordered this book to make dinosaurs for my Grandsons and was disappointed to learn that you can only use Merino DK 100% worsted wool for the Dino's and no stores in my area carried it. I did find a source in Columbus, Ohio though that offers free shipping. With that said the patterns are adorable and very easy to follow. I've made over 20 dinosaurs to give away and each one looks totally different because of the yarn colors and the way it is finished. Some of the embellishments are made of felt and involve gluing and most of the eyes have to be hand sewn on. The knitting goes very fast but the actual finishing takes almost as long as the knitting itself. I did find a mistake on one of the patterns so I emailed the author. She responded the very next day from the UK with the correction -- imagine that, from the author herself! Very impressive!

This book will keep me busy for ages, 4 yr-old-Granddaughter sat and went throught the book cover to cover twice before she sat with me and showed me which dinosaurs I needed to make for her. There was only one that she didn't need FIRST! They are fairly well designed, and once can easily do away with the craft felt etc. Our dinosaurs will be well loved and hard working, so durability is key. I ahve already done two and the T-Rex is "next" the Tryceratops is wonderfuland one can easily do away with the craft felt etc.

You can just see the face of the little child that you knit these little monsters for light up with joy. Quite a few dinosaurs that I have never heard of are featured in this collection. The colours are amazing, so bright, and combinations that would attract the eye of the smallest child. Many hours of fun in store! Construction is the key to these, aimed at the intermediate knitter with good finishing skills.

Wish this book was out 19 years ago. My grandson whom I raised would have been thrilled with them that long ago, however, he's still thrilled with them now even though he doesn't show the excitement. Making them for friend's grandson now. Very good book and as usual you send them

The patterns are easy to knit and very realistic. I particularly like T Rex. Will be doing more of him in different wools. The book was delivered before the due date and is as the seller says and in good condition.
