Love this game will take me a while to complete as there is that much to learn but well worth the effort, this is the best war game I've played. Steam account needed no problem downloading on windows 10

Men of War: Assault Squad 2 is a fairly old game by current standards but this great edition brings it bang up-to-date and shows off just what a great game it always was.The game case this arrived in was impressively large, mostly taken up by the huge manual. It comes on a disc but can, thankfully, be installed digitally just using the Steam code inside the case and downloading, so no need for a disc drive and, I guess, you have a free Men of War: Assault Squad 2 themed drinks coaster to boot!The War Chest Edition features the main game plus the Airborne, Ostfront Veteranen and Iron Fist add-ons which are well worth playing. It also includes Assault Squad 2: Men of War Origins, a DLC that provides the first Men of War game within the newer framework. There are a huge number of hours within these DLCs to sink your time into so it's a great package for those who love their strategy games.The game plays as an Action RTS and focuses on squad commands from infantry to vehicles. You'll need to work on multiple squads at once but the game lets you zoom in to each squad to provide a close up 3D view of the action. Most of the time, though, you'll be monitoring the battle from above.It's not an easy game but it's certainly fair and you'll need to learn the strengths and weaknesses of each unit, plus the enemies patterns in order to win later battles. What I really like about Assault Squad 2 is that it has a lot of character and captures the battlefield really well, especially when you're nervously navigating around the enemy in a large country landscape, avoiding detection until the last possible moment so you can create a pincer movement on the main troops.Fans of war games and tactical warfare will lap up this game and the updated graphics in this edition make it look better than it has ever done before.

Will not load on my laptop. When I place the disc in the reader nothing happens. I have windows 10. Looks like I wasted my money getting this game.

I installed this game when I first received it, but I struggled to get into the game due to the significant game features and functions there are to learn. During lockdown it has given me another opportunity to play the game again.Since I last played I have the latest top spec ATI graphics card, which has really improved the graphical experience playing this game.The content available is huge, and the game isnt easy to play, as the battle are fast, furious and incredibly diverse in the sense of the sheer amount of units available that can drastically shape the battle for you, or against you.There are also multiplayer options, 1v1,4v4 and even 8v8, and some of the maps are just huge.What I really enjoy most about this particular RTS game is that the environment and maps can also affect the game. All the buildings can be destroyed with the right type of units, and it really makes the game a lot more realistic, but it also adds a welcome layer of complexity to the game play.In this set there is also the DLC packs, which also add even more content.If you love RTS games but haven't been impressed with what's on offer on the WWII scene out there, then give this a try. Pretty sure you won't be disappointed, just be prepared to take time to scope out the game properly so you can get the most enjoyable gaming experience.

For installation – for me the disks didn’t work, but that wasn’t a problem because I had Steam downloaded and used the supplied activation code – so if you have a problem do the samer.This is the full comprehensive games package including all downloadable content. It automatically unlocks one of the achievements. There are over 400 achievements on steam which is extremely daunting but great for completionists. But the problem is that many of them are the same at different difficulty levels which isn’t a very imaginative way of doing achievements.The graphics are great – it sir ae to get a strategy game that has such realistic elements and graphics. The game will be very appealing for strategy game fans and fans of stealth based games,It requires a lot of patience including learning the controls which you will need the instruction booklet for, or Wikipedia open for. There is no tutorial to speak of and the first mission isn’t easy!It’s great for sinle and multiplayer game fans , so good for playing with a friend who is also an owner. Good value for money taking into account the content and based on historical events so there is even an educational value (!)

This is a strategy game for people who like their games to be long and involved. There is quite a lot for people who tactical strategy games to enjoy here. Unfortunately I simply don't have the patience these days to cope with games that are not immediately accessible from a game play point of view. Even following the tutorial was bewildering set of instructions and then the initial game play was complex in the extreme.It's one of those games that if you can put the effort in then it will reward you.

i like making my son ( special needs nonverbal almost 20yr old ) he loves it. pity it took so long to make me understand what he wanted.i am not a tech person or a gamer.
