My waist measures at just under 44 inches. Hank's recommends a size 48 for me, do that's what I bought. At the smallest sizing hole, the belt epuldbt hold up my pants, so I returned it for a 46.I wear the 46 at the second from the smallest hole for casual dress. When I carry my full size M&P45 in a crossbreed holster, I still use the same hole as I do when I'm not carrying. The gun feels good on the next hole up but it sags sags and pulls down my pants. My comp-tac holster is a bit thicker and I need to use the next larger hole but it still sags. My ruger LC9 in a crossbreed holster flops around when the belt is on the second from the smallest hole.Carrying anything OWB is a joke. I have to put the belt to its smallest size, which is very uncomfortable.Why Hank's wants you to buy 2 sizes up is beyond me. I'm 1 size up and the belt is almost too big for full size IWB carry. It has 8 sizing holes instead of the normal 5, so a belt that is your proper pant size will have plenty of adjustment.I whish that the holes were spaced closer together. I need a half size adjustment, not a full one, for IWB carry.On the plus side, the belt does seem to be very high quality, and having 8 sizing holes in place of 5 is nice if you think that you'll gain or lose weight.In all honesty, I want to return my belt and doubt that I'll buy another size down. I've been wearing it for a few weeks and am not satisfied, but I doubt I'll be able to make a return at this point.

If you're looking for a belt that'll last forever, this is it. Fit's standard belt loops and the slots in Galco and Bianchi holsters just right - no slop. Very nice belt....Even more impressive than the quality of the belt was the quality of service from Hank's. They delivered the belt I ordered very quickly, but as it turned out I ordered the wrong size. Hank's said 'no problem' and dispatched a second belt to me immediately along with a return tag for the original. The replacement arrived in two business days and it's perfect. Thanks Hank's!Btw - the mistake I made in ordering the first belt was that I used the length of my current belt as a guide and ended up with a belt that was far too long. Just ordering a belt the same size as the pants you'll be wearing, plus 2, is the way to go... but don't fret if you get it wrong the first time.

As I unpacked the belt, I was awestruck at the high quality of this belt. From the thickness of the leather to the high quality of the hardware, this belt goes way above and beyond my expectations. Sure, it wasn't cheap, but I sought to purchase a belt that would stand the test of time and I am delighted to say I got it.

I already owned one of their belts. I have the same belt in 1.5 inch and although a great belt that I normally use to Conceal Carry, I wanted the wider 1.75 inch to use with my bigger guns, extra magazine clips and other accessories.I will use both, it will just depend on what I'm carrying in a particular day.I highly recommend this belt. It's a good quality which you will be happy with for the rest of your life. And many may even want to to pass it down to them in your will :-)

It isn't very often I am moved to write an effusively positive review, but this is one of those cases.The quality of this extremely heavy duty and well made belt is worth every penny.Made in USA (thank you!).Instead of a cheap rivet (that could fail), the leather fold over near the buckle is secured with a 2-piece fastener that screws together.

Sweet belt - very sturdy and strong. The leather has definitely softened and conformed to my natural “shape.” But I know if I tighten it up that it will hold even my full-size 1911.

I was looking for the thickest leather belt I could find and this was it. Very well built and looks good too. Should be able to support heavy holsters and/or tools. This truly is a lifetime belt. Highly recommended

My only dislike is I did not measure correctly and the belt is 4 inches too long. Other than that, the belt is beautiful. I will attempt to shorten it myself. Will use for carrying and everyday wear.
